Regardless of how strange this game was, Alabama came away with a win and that's all I can ask for. And the score doesn't show just how tough Missouri played us and how sloppy we were at times. I also hope the Mizzou player is okay, you never want to see that happen to a player.

It is, but my concern is his lower body. His legs were in a somewhat unnatural position and never moved the entire time he was down. My hope is it was either precaution or he has a spinal cord "bruise" and not a tear.
I just don't see how. On the tackle, he descended straight onto his back, and then his head rebounded and bounced off the concrete. I'm assuming a concussion until I hear something different. No part of him moved for a long time. I think he was out like a light...

Hope #81 is OK.

Is Fanning the same player that got a little wild at practice and a season-ending injury resulted? Frankly, that was embarassing to me. No need for that.

Glad to get out with a win and get that one over. Sheesh!

To clarify: 3 distinct thoughts above, contained in 3 distinct paragraphs.

Other than the injuries in the game...still praying for the mizzou player, I am fine with the game.

Honestly, with how much adversity we had in this game. Weather, delay, coming from an off week, on the road...I say we did our job and won.

If I am not mistaken their only scores are because of special teams. The kickoff return and then field goal from a bad punt handling.

Look at these stats.

@LivingCrimson: #Bama had 522 yards, #Mizzou had 152. AJ McCarron 16/21 171 yds. Eddie Lacy 176 yds, 3 TDs. TJ Yeldon 144 yds, 2 TDs. Kenyan Drake 1 TD.
I am not turning this into a negative, I just hope everyone gets healthy.

That game got weird after the rain delay, and it seems we have a close relationship with the injury gods this year, but I like the way we finished in the 4th. All in all, it was a pretty good game. I also hope Waters is OK. Never like to see a player carted off the field.

I started to post in the game thread how bazaar the game felt to me too! We started and ended strong but weird things happening in the middle. Hope all will be well for the Mizzou player and for our guys too!

Are you sure it was concrete? I thought it was just the ground. I wouldn't think they would have concrete on the sideline. Anyway I hope and pray he is okay.

I haven't seen the hit/tackle, in the board's opinion could the SEC deem it worthy of suspension? Praying for the Missouri player as well.

I'll echo the sentiments of most others here that this was a strange game. However, I thought that we played well despite the poor weather conditions. That was probably the best we've run the ball all season.

Prayers to Eric Waters. Hope his injury is not serious.

Yes. I'd be somewhat surprised if they didn't.
Not the hit/tackle where the Mizzou player gut injured. That was just a routine play.

Now, the play where Fanning flipped the guy over his head to make the tackle? Yeah, that's probably a suspension.

I'm afraid it is. He could have just taken him down sideways. He didn't have to flip him over his head and risk head/neck injuries...
