****Official Postgame Thread - Bama vs. Mizzou****

Hard to believe how much that delay changed the game...

I disagree. I knew there would a be a drop off. The momentum stopped and the team got cold. After pummeling them for basically 28 points very quickly we got complacent. They still didn't score an offensive touchdown and it was no way they were going to win. The whole game was weird.

Undoubtedly my favourite thing of the coverage was the ridiculous map they showed to illustrate 'how far Jesse had come'. I will excuse the not getting Brisbane in the right spot, but it was hilarious to see the suggestion that rather than fly over the pacific ocean to the US, that he flew across the Middle East and Europe to get to the States. If you did it like that...now that is a looong trip. Roll Tide.

I only glanced at the map and didn't catch that they'd routed him the long way around...

With Verne and Gary, we should be thankful that they didn't talk about how far James Wilson had to travel to get from Austria to Tuscaloosa.

We laughed at that too. I told the people I was watching the game with that we weren't 10 feet apart; we were 15,000+ miles apart because I'd go opposite way around the world.

At least we didn't have it like the Arkansas game. They just got delayed for a second time and it is 9:30. They should just call the game.

During our game I was hoping they'd give the rule about how/when you can call one, then I remembered I was watching CBS, where information is optional.

Can I just say I love this Post-Game thread?

I mean, I hate that it is all about injuries and penalties, but we just beat a conference foe 42-10, we literally rushed for more than 100 times what they rushed for, had 6 rushing TDs, allowed no offensive points, intercepted 2 passes, and this was in a rain storm.

Yet, it's like everyone is saying, "Meh. Yeah. Another Saturday, another thrashing of a conference foe."

Bring on Tennessee.

I couldn't agree more.

WHAT DID WE LEARN?
We learned we can play in the rain in sloppy conditions. (We already knew that)
We learned that CNS has figured out how to Defense a large part of the 'Spread Offenses'.
(Knew that too...)
We learned that Mizzou has a way to go to be competitive in the SEC. (Figured that)
We learned how tough AJ really is... (Yep, I knew that one too)

Come to think of it, we probably didn't learn much we didn't already suspect or know.
But... We notched another win, and Auburn didn't... ;)

I'd like to see EVERY kick off go through the end zone. And EVERY punt go out of bounds. Run backs are much harder to defend and when one gets through it gives the opposition some momentum.
