Saban allowed the adversity to see what this team was made of on the road. Didn’t look great but we won’t go into the Ole Miss thinking we can overlook them at all. Oline was a mess but we ended up winning by pounding the rock and most importantly not throwing crucial interceptions just because we were trying to make a play.

A win is a win Roll Tide baby.

It's a win. That's almost all I can say about today.

Ty Simpson might have benefited greatly from an off-season getting the #1 snaps. We can't tell much about that at this point.

Jalen Milroe definitely benefited from those snaps but no QB is going to be successful if they can't trust their O'Line.

Buchner simply doesn't look like the answer. He served to display far more nerves than Milroe did against Texas, despite having more experience and playing lesser competition.

We have problems on the O-Line beyond inexperience and I'm at a loss as to why. We've made one coaching change without improvement. I'm not sure what's actually required there but we don't yet seem to have the answer...

I’m not saying you are wrong but, why not? What about his game makes you say he ain’t the guy?

did you watch the game? He literally made one nice play(which was an easy throw) the entire game....and took a bunch of bad sacks(yes the offensive line gave him no chance on some, but some were on him)

Im not saying Simpson shouldnt start. The other 2 havent given any reason to start them either. But it's clear at this point none of them have shown anything.....so sure why not start simpson. but for the life of me I can't see how anyone could take anything positive from any of their play. Doing so is just grasping at straws in my opinion and just trying to will someone to be 'the guy'.......we don't have a guy, at least right now. it is what it is.

Good grief I need a drink or 20.
Is RG3 Jalen Milroe's agent?
Glad to get the win, but I do not need any more games like this.
Simpson should be the guy moving forward.
LT needs to be benched because he is going to get Simpson killed.
Williams should be the starting RB moving forward.

Bama needed to put a tight end on that side to help keep that guy from repeatedly sacking Ty Simpson. He was just too quick and fast for the left tackle to block him.

what exactly did simpson do? He threw one pass where he stared down a wide open tight end for like a 35 yard gain or whatever.....and the rest of the whole game(which for him was a half) he made basically zero other good plays. And he didn't manage the pocket or rush at all.

I didn't think simpson looked any better than buchner for the most part. At least buchner and milroe can move a little. It doesn't appear simpson can.

I honestly don't know what the answer at qb is......I don't think we have one. But I honestly didn't see any positives in any of the qbs play....simpson or buchner.

Simspon did not lose the game. He did ok for a guy that did not take any 1st string snaps all week. We will see if he takes the 1st string snaps for a week this week and see next Saturday.

The fact that Milroe is now 3rd string tells me something else is going on.
Buchner looked really bad.

I learned nothing new about the QB situation today. Next week we will know. Ty did ok today but he was not asked to do anything. He never had to read the defense at all. The good thing is he got some real game experience with the game in the balance. I think its a 2 man race right now. I think Ty should get first team reps and Milroe should get 2nd team with some wishbone stuff thrown in.
