ONe would hope.
One of Coach Saban's failings was a refusal to give backup QBs playing time until the game was so far out of reach there was no way the backup could lose the game).

(... And refusal to call a time out in the first half).

It's incredible, but not surprising that people have already given up on Ty after giving up on Jalen a couple of years ago.

I'm not ready to give up on Ty. Not at all.
I would like to see Russell (or Mack) get a number of snaps with the playbook still open so we can see what he's got. I realize Russell is a true freshman in week 2 of his first year, so I do not expect a lot of polish. So get in a game so he can experience the sound, speed, complexity of playing QB on an SEC team.

Honestly... the first priority is get Ty Simpson back on track. have confidence. Rotating in and out isn't going to help. i'm hoping Russell comes in late 3rd quarter and play whole 4th quarter alternating with Mack.

I'm OK on specific packages, but to me Ty needs get more game experience and he needs a win.

I just hope the head coach didn't mean "well, we are down to our third string NG because of injuries." I try to stay positive, I'm just having trouble finding enough lipstick to put on last week's pig of an effort.

You can go back to the game thread vs MTSU in 2023 and read the posts lighting up the then starting QB on just his 2nd career start. (Several posts were deleted by members who don’t want to look bad on a message board) when they’re wrong. Ty has earned his opportunity and will be just fine. As always, I will support the players on the field. Let’s look forward to hopefully a much improved team. RTR.

Not a fan of the new faces talk. All spring and summer to find this stuff out about these guys.

I don’t think a bloodthirsty fsu team was the time and place to break some of the defensive guys in, nor do I think a cupcake ulm is the time to break in new offensive linemen.
