Skip , such suggestions are why you are rarely taken seriously by anyone , anymore . Bayless once bordered on being cool , but his act has long since grown old .

You might be right but if Boise, Clemson and Stanford go unbeaten Ok drops way down the list. I think Ok is better than Boise, Clemson and probably Stanford but a one loss LSU team is better than Ok.

Have been on the board on and off and have not seen you post much but good to see you posting. You are one of my favorite posters.

Crazier things have happened but I think in all likelihood they played themselves out of NC contention tonight. Also, for anyone (like Bayless for instance) who was saying OU was on the same level as Bama and LSU, tonight should have put that nonsense to rest.
 
Last weekend my nephew and I were looking at the remaining OU schedule, we seriously thought that they could possibly lose the next five games. BUT realistically lose 2 of them ( Kansas St and OK St. both away games). tonight 's loss has just reconfirm our rationale even more so.

bottom line, OU fans should be prepare to lose 2 or more games this season. :cool2:

Thanks , RE :) I really do appreciate it . I'll just say that my hands are full these days with family issues . Really for nearly 2 years now ...


Clemson is one who I believe will stumble sooner rather than later and I hope Boise will as well , but think it's slightly more likely they will not . Stanford sure has been impressive at times though . It's all the more why I love college football in November . Afterall , LSU was all but out of the picture twice down the stretch in '07 yet still ended up on top .
 
I stayed up way too late last night watching that game.....it was very surreal watching me pull for Tubberville......very strange.

Maybe I should learn to lay off the old spice cigs Honey Badger brought over to the house.
 
I really can't believe OU lost to TTU. I fell asleep then woke only to read this. If we make it to the BSCNG then I was hoping we would play OU.

This. I think I was way off thinking OU was the next best team after Bama and the who's....but like someone else on here said, November is oftentimes full of surprises.
 
According to the barners, "a true auburn man" won that game Saturday night. That is the only fan base I have ever seen that claims former coaches who left on bad terms as still one of theirs.

There were more than a few barners that didn't think very highly about the way they ran Tubby off and were even less happy when they hired Chiz.

All of them got on the bus last year, but even then there were a few that - while happy - weren't exactly confident about their long term prospects.

A few more games like LSU (particularly the last one of the regular season) and the bus will empty in rapid fashion. I've got a good barner friend and his exact quote Sunday was "Chiz was a 5-19 coach when we got him and he's still a 5-19 coach. He just blind hogged his way into an acorn last year."

Tubbs will get the last laugh before all is said and done.

I am not sure *U fans know how to look at Tubs. Coach Saban would have continued to clean his clock because I think he was sick & tired of that place. And, CNS is that good as a head coach and Tubs is no where near his league day in and day out. I am not sure if anyone heard the radio this morning in Birmingham but Tony Currie on JOX was talking about Finebaum and took a nice shot at Tubs. He said Tommy would hold this win up high for quite some time and get himself another 4 year extension for an extra $2 mill a year and before it is over will leave town with a smirk on his face and the TT crowd ready to bust him in the chops.
