Ole Miss Mascot to be the Black Bear

Multiple people are stating that Ole Miss will announce their new mascot is the Black Bear.

Since this is coming the week of the Alabama game... I expect vengeance to be swift and thorough. :biggrin2:

Yes. They will still be the Rebels. The mascot will be called "The Rebel Bear".

The mascot for the old Tuscaloosa High School was the Black Bear. Don't know of anybody else that has used specifically the Black Bear for a mascot. While I think it's dumb for Ole Miss, I have a special place in my heart for a Black Bear Mascot. Me and all my old school mates are "Black Bears Through and Through."
