Omnibus Thread on SEC Tournament...

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

I don't argue that it does not take a lot to throw off a shooter. My point is I have, many times, seen much worse go uncalled.

I also argue that while there may have been contact, it was not enough to disrupt the shot at all. Not even close. Not worth a call. 98% of his movement after releasing the ball was his acting, NOT the contact from the defender.

his elbow got hit as he was releasing. It was a reasonable foul call.

So apparently reports are leaking out we’re going to have Johni dressed and ready to go tomorrow for Purdue. I’m not sure I agree with the decision to play him if he’s recovering. Resting him is more important than a W in this case. We’ve already locked up everything we need in noncon.

But if he’s 100% then hooray lol.

I’m worried about how we’re going to contain that Kaufman-Renn kid. I watched the entire Purdue-Bama game earlier this season and when Omoruyi had to sit due to foul trouble he was getting everything he wanted in the interior.

Bama doesn’t have nearly the strength and depth we have in the interior. Hell, Grant Nelson was forced into defending him in the post in that one and 6’11 or not he is not a post player. But if the fouls start racking up on the guys we need to keep him clamped down I worry he could tee off inside against us just like he did y’all.

Speaking of Tennessee this is a weird situation.

Cameron Carr could have contributed this year, and likely would be starting next year. Just a strange departure.

Further, this REALLY stings UT on depth. They’re down to 8 healthy scholarship players as of now. An injury at any position could really hurt them.
