I just got Directv and was wondering what is the best (and cheapest) way to order Gameplan on a weekly basis so I can catch Bama whoop Houston on Saturday? I see on the website that you can order the whole season, but I just want to order this weekend's game. BTW I am in Atlanta if it makes a difference. Thanks!

Go to the station that it's supposed to be on and order it the day of the game. You should be able to order it for 15 -30 $$. That is if it's not going to blacked out in your area.

Is it the same crappy quality as the PPV cameras...

Yep. But when you live as far out in nowhere as I do you'll be happy to get what you can!

Monte Sano is not Window Rock... :D

Heck! I'm not even living close to Window Rock! That is major civilization. We are about 1 hour east of Page, AZ. A school, trading post and post office!

I will say that I can't handle the broadcasting crew. Atari at best!

Well, I know Page, or at least the weird motel there. I was the first paddler to take a low-volume kayak down the GC. Page was our assembly point. So you're in a suburb...? :D

More like a suburb of a suburb! It's beautiful though.

Neat pix, LD. Are they taking care of the new houses?

Pretty much. The school and where we live is on top of the Mesa to the right of the road in the NW of the picture. We live in "Pink Houses" along with the most of the neighborhood. We are a 1A school.

The game will most likely be blacked out in Alabama and Texas on Gameplan, but you should be able to get the CTSN broadcast on PPV in Alabama and Texas. At least that is the way it usually works....blackout only affects Bama and the state of the team in which we are playing.

Direct TV is $19.95 per game if you order it through the remote i.e. having telephone line attached to TV. If you have to order by phone do it early in the morning and they add $5 for doing the hook up.

As Bama is on TV so much it is worth it just to do the by game ESPN GamePlan. If you are in a blacked out area i.e. Bama and Texas, then it is PPV at $29.95.

The game will be available on Directv pay-per-view, on a specific channel. Usually available for order close to game time. The Alabama game will be blacked-out on gameplan according to my sources. They'll get their pay-per-view $$ one way or another. RTR

Sorry to be such a newbie, but how do you order through your remote. The phone line is hooked up to the dvr/box. Thanks.

No problem. In the morning go to channel 782 on DirectTV. Click on it and it should ask you whether you want to order it or not. Click on Order and it will inform you that it will cost $19.95 for GamePlan or $29.95 PPV. You then confirm the order and you click on it again. You then have the game. RTR

Call Directv and order the package for the weekend as long as you arent in Bama or Texas. 21.99 for the weekend, comapred to 30.00 for the cost for the PPV. Boom, you get the Bama game and other fun games, esp. the red river shootout, where in atl you will be watching fsu/nc state on ABC, instead of that game
