Other pokes feel free to add to it. This is simply my opinion. Tide, feel free to comment.

QB- Bobby Reid (SO 6-3 230) has the talent to great, simply put. Going into the Texas game he was the 8th most efficient passer in the nation. He runs a 4.4-4.5 forty, but is still definetely a pocket passer. Fedora and Gundy have tried to make use his legs a bit more to make him more dangerous. Zac Robinson (FR 6-3 205) is a very good player, but not on Bobby's level in my opinion. He will probably play a few series just to change it up a bit, but God forbid he is in there on the last series.

HB- Mike Hamilton (SO 6-1, 215), Keith Toston (FR 6-1, 195, and Dantrell Savage (JR 5-9, 195 all have around 100 attempts rushing, but don't be fooled, this is Savage's position. Hamilton started the first few games of the season but hasn't taken a snap in a few weeks. Savage and Toston are averaging around 7 yards per carry and can be dominating at times. Coach Gundy usually goes with the hot hand, but still uses the other back significantly. Julius Crosslin (JR 6-0, 235) is used in short yardage situations.

TE- Since we run mostly a one back offense, we rarely have two TE's in the game. Bradon Pettigrew (SO 6-6, 240) is developing into a very reliable offensive option with a TD last week. He isn't a showstopper athletically, but makes good catches.

WR- Adarius Bowman (JR 6-4, 225) is a beast. He is in the top 10 in the nation in rec yards. He had over 300 yds receiving against KU, and is also a great blocker due to his size and strength. D'Juan Woods, our #2 WR (SR 6-1, 220), is also a great blocker. I honestly don't think there could possibly be a better blocking wideout anywhere. He is a great character guy (brother of Rashaun and Donovan Woods). His receiving numbers are down due to the emergence of Bowman (2004 transfer from UNC), but is still very dangerous in the passing game. Anthony Parks (JR 6-1, 195) is our 3rd reciever. He is unspectacular at best, but he gets the job done. Artell Woods (FR 6-1, 195) is only used in spread sets, but has great potential. He won't take over a game now, but he has a bright future.

OL- LT Corey Hilliard (SR 6-6, 315) is a 4 year starter and is all Big-12 in 2006. He will play on Sundays next year. Far and away our best OL. LG David Koenig (JR 6-5, 290) is a quality player. The left side our definetely our strength. David Washington (6-3, 310) is our C. RG David Seifried (SR, 6-4, 300) is a former walk-on and first year starter. Great character guy, but not the best athlete. RT Brady Bond (FR 6-6, 290) is inexperienced but obviously talented as he is starting in the Big-12 as a FR. Our strength is to the left.

DL- A very quality group. DE Victor DeGrate (SR 6-3, 250) anchors the group. He and DE Nathan Peterson (JR 6-2, 235) are 2nd in the Big-12 in sacks (combination). DE Darnell Smith (SR 6-1, 250) also gets plenty of burn and came up with big plays against NEB. He is an academic AA. NT Larry Brown (SR 6-2, 295) plugs the gaps and is a good run defender but is not quick enough to be a good pass rusher. Former 5-star recruit Ryan McBean (SR 6-6, 295) is a natural DE, but is big enough to defend the run at DT and rush the passer. NT Xavier Lawson-Kennedy (SR 6-1, 315) never lived up to his potential as a 5-star recruit, but is still a difference maker on the DL. DT Jeremy Chatham (SO 6-3, 285) will also get some burn, but only in big goaline situations.

LB - MLB Rodrick Johnson (SO 6-2, 255) leads the linebacking core. He is a great athlete with good closing speed and a nose for the ball. OLB Patrick Lavine (FR 6-2, 220) has great instincts and was highly touted coming out of HS in houston. He makes plays and has a bright future. OLB Chris Collins (FR 6-2, 235) was injured early in the season and ruined what could have been a great LB core. OLB Jeremy Nethon (JR 6-0, 210) now starts at Collins' position. He lacks great size and speed, but is always around the ball.

DB - CB Martel Van Zant (JR 6-1, 210) is a great athlete and could have been a top national recruit coming out of HS, but coaches were afraid of giving a scholly to the first deaf CB in CFB. He has been nothing less than spectacular, and, with more experience, could be a shut down corner to any WR next year. CB Jacob Lacey (SO 5-11, 180) is on the other side, bit splits time with Perrish Cox (FR 6-1, 180). Both are very inexperienced, which is not what you want in the secondary, which is the Achillies' Heel of Oklahoma State in 2006. FS Andre Sexton (FR 6-1, 205) is a FR AA and has the potential to be a great player, but is still a bit green. SS Donovan Woods (JR 6-2, 215) is a great leader, but was a QB up until early last season when he was moved. Has good football instincts, but is a step slow for a safety, which could lead him to be challenged for his job next year.

SP- K Jason Ricks (SO 6-2, 200) started off a bit shaky, losing the game in overtime to Texas A&M on a missed XPT. He was booed after missing another FG against NEB, but has been solid since. P Matt Fodge (SO 6-1, 195) is All Big-12 and is simpy stellar. KR Perrish Cox returned his first attempt for a TD, and his future looked bright. He has since fumbled a few times and has made some questionable decisions returing punts and kicks which led to him to replaced by Tommy Devereaux (JR 6-0, 190). Devereaux is a great athlete, but may lack the wiggle that Cox has to be truly dominant. That said, OSU still has a very strong return game, but has been a big dormant in the last few weeks.

I had forgotten about Reid . CMS actually offered BR . Knew about the WR's and the young LB's but didn't know about the injury . Thanks for the rest .

WOW!!! How did you guys ever lose a game?? :eek2:

Very impressive team overview. I just hope our coaches know what we're up against!

At least we have a chance now that CMS is officially past tense..:biggrin2:

I didn't realize T. Boone Pickens was a Cowboy 'till I saw him interviewed regarding his generous donation to your university. 165 million for OSU athletics is staggering to say the least!!

Good Luck to your Cowboys! :BigA:

Great overview, but - I full confidence in Zac after his A&M performance when he stepped in for Bobby b/c of injury. Don't get me wrong, if I have the choice I am going with Reid, but I am just fine w/ Zac too.

I'm a little skeptical about that. If Zac could make a simple option pitch, OSU would have beat Oklahoma.

Going into the Texas game he was the 8th most efficient passer in the nation.

Why not rate the whole season instead of just the first 8-9 games.

The main thing I noticed about OSU was their offensive variety. They run out of the I, they run out of 3/4 WR sets, they run up the middle, they run wide, they pass short, they pass long, they pass sidelines, they pass over the middle. One of the least predictable offenses I've seen.

Their defense isn't bad, but it's vulnerable up the middle.

Would be interesting if Alabama keeps running up the middle but suddenly, IT WORKS!... Would that make Alabama's line coach suddenly a genius?

Doubtful b/c our right side will probably still be unavoidably bad.

Like the ESPN experts said, the real game will take during OSU offensive and Bama Defensive series. The other side of the game will probably lack spark.

ESPN has nothing to base this on Joe Kines is the HC right now and Dave Rader is finally getting a shot to call the plays. Who knows what we'll see from Alabama. I think it will make for a very interesting game indeed.

Well currently, Bobby Reid's QB rating is second in the big 12 behing baby mccoy. Not to brag, but there are alot of good QBs in the big 12, imo. I think that shows that he is currently better than zac.
