I don't think he does, though - I'm pretty sure his has become one of (if not the) most popular CFB podcasts on the web.

And more than that, many people like me listen to him because he's generally above this sort of 'hot take'. He's historically avoided this sort of thing.

It's curious.
Makes me wonder if he knows some thing since he doesn’t usually post videos like this. May just be my paranoia on the topic.

My completely unprofessional and "pay no mind to" prediction is CNS will not be here after next season.
I think this team might be the one that almost sends him to lake Burton. If by some miracle we win it all this year then I am 90% on the he retires on the field opinion. I have a feeling next year is a championship or bust season if he doesn’t win it this year.

The way he spoke sounded to me like he has picked up on all the fan chatter (as he always would anyway) and he "went there" just to get hits/likes/views.

In the end, his response was basically "this is ridiculous nonsense." I just don't recall him doing this much ever before. Maybe it's because he too is so taken aback by what he has seen thus far and it's scrambled his M.O.

If Pate is right and he's still here in 2026 then here are a few guys I could see build their resumes to be the guy/some names I've seen others mention that I think could make sense.

Mike Norvell, Dan Lanning, Kalen DeBoer, Deion Sanders, Mike Elko
I don't see him being here in '26.

well, Deion gets the credit, but Sean Lewis is the man responsible for the Buffs success. BTW, we had Kiff, Locks, then Sark. Pretty creative, netted us 3 chips in what 7 years? Pretty remarkable but The pendulum has swung the other way.
Chips?

I have no clue what is in CNS' plans for next year, but I do imagine he is weighing that decision everyday. Why would he not? Coach Bryant once answered the retirement question by addressing the concern of all the Department of Athletics employees continued employment. I believe that particular person sharing that conversation was Coach Bo Schembeckler of U of Michigan. They were coaching together in the 1968 All American Bowl I think. But he asked Bryant when he might retire. Coach Bryant said if he retired that so many people would lose jobs. I am sure CNS has similar concerns, and would prefer better conditions to leave the program with.

I'm sorry, if we hire Deion I won't be able to watch Alabama football again.
Dude what is your problem with Prime Time? Are you 65 years old, because you sound so boomer right now.

If Alabama hired Deion Tomorrow, you wouldn't stop watching Alabama Football. And If you did you're not a real fan, and also I promise you not a single person would care if you stopped watching the games. Not a single person. Your one set of eyes would be replaced by hundred of thousands or more Deion Sanders fans.

I'm genuinely curious what is it about Deion that makes you so hateful? Do you understand that Deion has showed nothing but mad respect to Coach Saban and the Alabama program? Do you understand that Coach Saban reciprocates that level of respect back? Do you think He would do that if he thought Sanders was a clown or fluke? For Deion Sanders to speak admirably about another coach is rare, and he gushes over Coach Saban. Again, what on earth makes you think that respect isn't warranted? Deion coaches his players along the EXACT same philosophies as Coach Saban. What is it about Deion that makes you say something so dumb "if deion gets hired i'll never watch another alabama game" as if anyone in the world cares about your hateful opinion? I'll take a shot, it comes off extremely jealous. You hate the attention being poured onto the situation at Colorado. There's again, a reason for that attention, and that's because he's producing a product that competes.

Indulge me, did Deion run over your dog? Did he steal your daughter's v-card? What's going on with you dude.

I still think it will be Lane Kiffin...............the dude is all but actively campaigning for the job

I'd rather Saban hang around and get another ring, but if he decides to go ( and he will have earned it), I think Kiffin will get the call

First off my name is not Dude. I'm not 65 I'm only 62. My daughter and my dog are none of your business. I have to ask, based on the way you talk, are you 16? And you call me dumb.

So just avoid the question, sounds logical. Are you familiar with "tu quoque", also I didn't call you dumb, I said what you said SOUND dumb.

What is your problem with Deion, why is it according to you under no circumstance to be the Head Coach of Alabama when Coach Saban decides to hang it up and hand it off?

I'm 32 btw, old enough to know and identify fallacies when I see them.
