Would it not be ironic if Bobby Johnson makes the jump to his Alma Mater at Clemson to replace Tommy Bowden. Then Phillip Fulmer makes the move to take over another SEC school at Vanderbilt in which he coached at in the late 1970's. That is College football at its finest. What would you guys think?

I've heard Fulmer will become a TV analyst.
I honestly hopes he gets a coaching job. All B.S. aside, the guy did a great job at Tennessee.

Yes, I hate Tennessee worse than Auburn, but if you're not a Bama fan, say you're a Toledo fan......he has a pretty impressive resume.

Plus, he won't make it as an analyst. He's too country and laidback.

Coaches are born to coach. It's not about the money.

I hope the guy get's a chance somewhere.

Well, weirder things have happened. But not many. :D I think he'll lay out a couple of years and take another HC job, but down quite a few rungs from UT...

I agree, I think Tennessee did him dirty the way they have handled this year. It does not suprise me, they are pretty dirty anyway.

Puuuuuuuuuuuuuuulease. Fulmer is through. He might land a job at a predominantly all white private school where he has no discipline issues, can still recruit, stand on the sidelines and clap his hands.

I don't see Fulmer ever leaving Big Orange country. I predict he'll negotiate a deal where he gets a do-nothing job w/the university and the same for his family kind of like Pat Dye did when he left Auburn.

I hope his future is at Krispy Kreme.

I cannot stand him. He disgusts me. I loath him. He is scum. At the risk of being permanently banned from Tide Fans I will cut my comments off there (and imagine what comments you would have to make about Phat Phil to be banned here on Tide Fans).

I think Phatty sits out a year or 2 and returns. However, I don't think it has to be a job a lot lower than UT. I don't think his stock is soooo low that a team wouldn't take a shot on him. And even though I felt like he'd have retired within 5 years from UT. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years he returned a stayed somewhere 5 years to rebuild his name

I do think he'll coach again at a mid-tier school somewhere after one year off. I don't think it's about the money to him...

I just simply do not see him coaching anywhere else. He doesn't need the money and there is his legacy to consider...why tarnish it any further than what has happened this season?? Further, I don't see him going into the broadcast booth--have you ever seen his coach's show? He is more boring than watching paint dry. He will eventually accept some kind of 'administrative' position in the athletic dept.
