Pick the final prospects to commit

Re: Pick the final four prospects

Harbin
Lawrence
Harris
Edwards

Call me crazy, but I honestly think that julio will end up somewhere other than tuscaloosa. Either norman or gainesville. The four mentioned above would be a very strong finish though. Harris and Lawrence would probably start at some point next year, maybe not from day one, but eventually they'll be in the starting lineup as freshmen, where ever they end up. They are both just too talented and athletic to keep off the field

C R A Z Y !!
:)

Hopefully your are Crazy.

Scratch one from my list...

The only ones you should scratch from your list is DeAndre Brown and Antoine McClain. Neither one of those two are listing Bama among their favorites or their official visits lists.

I am revising my final list from 4 to 6. Alabama currently has 26 commitments. That number includes the two early enrollees, K Corey Smith and WR Chris Jackson. They are both back counters to the 2007 class, so subtract them. DT/OL Kerry Murphy is a commit from 2007 at Hargrave MA trying to qualify academically. There are some questioning whether or not he will qualify out of Prep school. Alabama is expected to sign somewhere around 30. So if the current commitment number is now 24 commits. There is room for 6 more commits. I hope the final 6 come out of this list.

1. Julio Jones
2. Jerrell Harris
3. Robert Quinn or Glenn Harbin
4. Alonzo Lawrence or T.J. Bryant
5. Aundre Dean

It will not free up one b/c the NCAA will not allow recruited walk-ons so he will count toward the 25.

They don't count against any scholarship limit if they pay their own way. Recruited/non-recruited walk-on only matters if they're receiving some kind of institutional scholarship other than an one for athletics (such as a Bryant Scholarship).

IF this rumor (which I have heard as well) comes to fruition, Love will actually "greyshirt" and not count against '08 numbers.

And before someone asks (which I know they will) a greyshirt will pay their own way in the fall semester for 6 or 9 hours (not a full load). They will not practice with the team at all, but will have access to training, S&C, etc. The player will then be eligible for the spring semester and count towards 2009 numbers.

Last I heard T Love being discussed there was speculation he might start at LT and Big Dre might move to LG.
That may be because some people seem to think that about 15 true freshmen are going to start next year. The truth is that most incoming freshmen benefit from a redshirt year in order to acclimate themselves to their academic load, being away from home, and the expected level of strength and conditioning on the college level. Of course, this is a loaded class, and there probably will be three to five of them who may start. Then again, there may be fifteen of them who start and show me that I don't know crap.

By the way, I just hope we get J. Harris and A. Lawrence to help shore-up our defense. If we add those two to the guys who are already committed, it would be a monster class. If Julio or any other four or five star guys also sign with us, we will have a class that should get us back to the level where we can start competing for championships real soon.

I really feel there is only room for 4 more.
I hope they are
J Jones
J Harris
A Lawrence
R Quinn
Also,I feel we have a good chance will all of them. If we lose Quinn, then Harbin would be a good sub. There is no sub for JJ and J H.so I hope they sign with Bama.
