Well it is the start of SEC play this week so time to pick the score. I haven't watched Arkansas any this season so I don't know what to expect out of them. I am happy the game is in Tuscaloosa so I believe that gives us the advantage, and I believe Bama wins. I think and hope our players are more focused this week.

Bama wins 24-17

I see us scoring two TD, plus stall inside the 15 yard line three time, thus having to settle for three FG's. Our "Dead Zone" play worries me.

Bama 25
Hogs 17

It'll be ugly for sure. I hate going against my alma mater, but we looked pretty atrocious all the way around against Troy. Most importantly, our offensive line is young, inexperienced, and holding on for dear life, while Tyler Wilson looks razzled under pressure and too hesitant to throw the long ball.

Tide - 20
Hogs - 17

In the three years of the Saban/Petrino battle, Arky has scored 14, 7 and 20. I don't see them scoring more than 10 this year.

It'll be tight at halftime. Prolly sumthin like 13-7 or 13-10 I'd expect. They'll hit us with some mid to long range passes in the 1st half but we'll protect the redzone well and adjust at halftime. We'll wear their defense down into the 3rd and grind it out with TR and/or EL bustin' out for another long run. I expect AJ to Maze and Hanks stretching the field for our RB's this week. Final score Bama 33 - Arky 13. RTR!!!

I think the Arkansas front seven will be the most physical Alabama has faced to dated. After last weeks performance against Troy, the secondary could make McCarron a heisman contender.

On Offense there are few teams that can throw and catch as well as Arkansas. The Bama secondary is very talented, but if Wilson is not pressured they will put up some numbers. I don't beleive this team will get rattled at BDS and I'm a big homer

Ark 27
Alabama 20

Bama 28-13. Bama stuffs the run, gets just enough pressure to make things tight for Wilson. Our secondary lives up to their reputation. Darius Hanks and Brad Smelley have big games to open up some running lanes for Trent and Eddie. Game will be tight for a half, wheels fall off again for Hogs in Q4.

For all of the struggles our offense has endured (OL, QB rotation), no one seems to comment on our defense which looks 5 times better than it did at any point last year. No matter who we play, they will struggle to score.

I do think this is going to be a very tough game. Arkansas will come in with a lot to prove, just as they have every year under Petrino. But I don't expect them to score more than 14. I think Alabama can score more than that.

20-10, BAMA.

This will be a SEC type game.... heavy defense! I just don't see Arky moving the ball much against us though. In the end:

Bama 21

Arky 3

RTR!!!!

28-23 Bama

This one will be close. And, I have a suspicion that some players will be looking ahead to UF. UF is still the team some of our players are most anxious to play.
