Pick the score: Washington vs. Alabama

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Alabama 41, Washington 3

This D will show up for the party. I expect a showing on defense similar to the Cotton Bowl last year.

I say we get a NOT via pick-6

"Roll Tide"

Washington's offense averages 477 YPG...which is very, very good. However, our defense only gives up 247 YPG, most of that being in the air. Despite us giving up so much in the passing game, teams rarely find the end zone against us as we all know. On the flip side, Washington's run defense gives up about 124 YPG on average, which as we all know means a very good percentage of victory for the Tide. We are averaging 245 YPG on the ground so far, which is the best of any team coached by CNS.

My prediction is:

Alabama 38
Washington 17

It will be 24-17 going into the 4th quarter...with the Tide scoring a few TDs late to seal the deal and head to Tampa. One of these late TDs may very well be a NOT.

If Kiffin ever decides to run the ball, and/or Saban makes him run the ball, Bama may rush for 300+ yards. FWIW, Arizona rushed for 10 YPG less than Bama this season. They rushed for 308 yards against Washington. And that was with the starting RB out and his replacement breaking his ankle in the third quarter.

"Freshman J.J. Taylor, playing in place of injured starter Nick Wilson, broke his left ankle in the third quarter, leaving Arizona even thinner at running back."
