I'm wondering how much of a factor visibility was? They were jumping at dusk to dodge park rangers...... Wonder if they would be alive if they could have jumped legally in the middle of the day?

That was possible, but I'd think with their experience they had left themselves enough light. The actual "flight" would not have taken long at all...

Seen where they posted they were able to pull the video off Potter's GoPro. Said the other dude hit the right side of the notch and Potter swooped left to try and avoid it and hit the left side of the rock. They obviously wanted to fly through that notch to say they did it and obviously miscalculated. Crazy.

And people say us barehand linemen are crazy!
