Playoff is set!!

I'm guessing the other NY6 will be:

Fiesta: UCF vs Florida
Peach: LSU vs Michigan
Rose: Ohio St vs Washington
Sugar: Georgia vs West Virginia

To add, they said Tua is getting a MRI and they expect him to be back in two weeks when we start practice for the semi-final.

Saban just said they did an MRI, he has a high ankle sprain, they are going to scope it and expect him back in two weeks.

Said the same thing about Jalen - he didn't play for 4 weeks, at Citadel, and was barely able to practice for 3 weeks. It is 4 weeks until the game with the Sooners.

Bama only needs to stop OU 2-3 times, we can run for a TD every possesion on that D. This will be a high scoring game first half, second half we will stop their Offense.

I may have missed it, but can someone explain why we are going to the Orange and not the Cotton. I thought the rule was that the number one team went to the site that was geographically closest. Arlington, Texas is closer to Tuscaloosa than Miami Gardens. Did they mention this reversal at all?

I didn’t expect that.

I would imagine it had to do with proximity of Oklahoma to Arlington.

We preferred to play in Miami because Dallas would basically be a home game for OU is how they explained it.

From what Ive heard and read:

1) If the #1 team is closer in proximity to a bowl that is in the state of the #4 team then they automatically choose the other semifinal

2) If the #1 team is closer in proximity to a bowl that the #4 team is closer than the #1 team then the #1 team has the option to choose the other semifinal.

We chose the #2.

FWIW the #2 team has no sayso in the matter. For example:

Semis are Cotton and Orange

1) UA
2) Clemson
3)Texas A&M
4) Oklahoma

Alabama could exercise their right to play in the Orange due to the proximity of Oklahoma and force Clemson to play a true road game
