Not really. Don’t get blown out by LSU and you’re in. Same situation with tOSU last season.
If we had lost by 20 in Red Stick and by seven yesterday, I wouldn’t complain if we were left out.

I would imagine it had to do with proximity of Oklahoma to Arlington.

From what Ive heard and read:
1) If the #1 team is closer in proximity to a bowl that is in the state of the #4 team then they automatically choose the other semifinal
2) If the #1 team is closer in proximity to a bowl that the #4 team is closer than the #1 team then the #1 team has the option to choose the other semifinal.
We chose the #2.
FWIW the #2 team has no sayso in the matter. For example:
Semis are Cotton and Orange
1) UA
2) Clemson
3)Texas A&M
4) Oklahoma
Alabama could exercise their right to play in the Orange due to the proximity of Oklahoma and force Clemson to play a true road game

Could not get that lucky. More than likely Texas in the Sugar.

I was a bit surprised with it also. Not that we could but that we did ...If we will, I think we can run on Oklahoma all day...but I thought Georgia's pass rush would be ineffective so my film study needs work.
Just my opinion, we can throw out what we "think" about all of the top 5-6 teams and how they will do bowling. Many of us in here didn't think UGA would put up such a fight as they did last night and keep us in the hole so long, but they did. OU may give us a really good battle and ND may give Clemson one. Last night reminded me of Iron Bowls. Anything can happen. Same with these bowl games. Probability? Maybe not much, but one thing I'm learning about football is that old saying about counting chickens before they hatch. My two cents...
If y’all play Texas in the Sugar y’all should beat them by four touchdowns.
Unless the team lays down because it really doesn’t want to be there. It does happen.
I hope not - I don’t like Georgia at all but I hate everything about Texas.

I picture Clemson winning against ND like we did in 2012.Clemson will beat ND by 40
