I don't have much faith in anybody in D.C. but man do I hope this is prophetic.

What concerns me is that we have a friend who thinks that prices are going to immediately revert to those of four years ago and also thinks all of his other promises will be fulfilled. She is a college grad. I saw an interview with a past high-ranking officer in the Border Patrol and he said that the concentration camp plan was patently impossible. He laughed at the idea that enough officers could be "borrowed" from TSA, etc. He said it would require the hiring of an additional 100K officers, which would in turn be impossible. I suspect some of his promises, healthcare plan concept, etc., will go the way of the Mexican-defrayed wall. One thing which really does worry me are the promised universal tariffs. He does have the power to do that unilaterally. I can see world trade crashed, along with our economy. I doubt seriously whether he knows where lithium comes from or how widely it's used. His idea that we'll just make everything here is totally naive, for anyone who passed Econ 101. I remember the notation he hand-wrote in the margin of an early speech - "trade is bad"...

Well, I was mostly responding to Bamaro's Hitler cartoon. But on your comments:

WRT the deportations....from what I understand, there are people here who came into the country illegally and have already gone before a judge and were told they didn't qualify to remain here and that they need to leave. And they are still here.

There are also criminals - same thing.

And those are the ones who will be primarily targeted.

I don't have a bunch of specifics so we'll have to see what happens.

As far as stuff Trump says or has said ------- I chalk a lot of that up to campaign talk.

BTW....first president in history to bring a woman in as White House Chief of Staff!

I always thought that.That includes mass deportations. There will be a show, as with the wall...
