Absolutely!! The golden age of stand-up is far, far behind us. SNL is about as funny as a heart attack. Late night talk shows? You can easily see why they are dying. It's like watching a Klan rally, but with pastel sheets. I remember fondly when stand-up comedians took third place behind music and literature as anti-establishment platforms. Most of the pre-digested, narrative-driven CRAP that passes for comedy nowadays are an insult to the memory of Lenny Bruce, Bill Hicks, George Carlin and Richard Pryor.

"Jesus vs Santa Claus" was pure comedy gold. This one is just pretty lame.

It's much funnier when you realize that Stone and Parker just signed a $1.5 billion streaming deal with CBS. Makes it kinda hard to fire them. And if you do, you can hide behind "it's just business", because the next question is "If they're losing money why did you sign them to a $1.5 billion deal?"

Actually, I can't believe this isn't more of an issue. That level of fluid retention is flat out deadly.

IMHO, the use of that photo of a space shuttle blasting off is really what made that political cartoon so funny.

I mean if someone cannot understand the "thrust" of that imagery as it relates to the point of the meme.....
