Potential final ranking prognostication

IMO, Alabama should be #3 with a win.

1 OSU
2 TT
3 Bama
4 IU

I think either way they are going to try their best to avoid a trilogy fight between Alabama- Georgia unless it’s for the national championship. So I think seeding will be designed around having that rematch in the quarters and semis. Especially should Alabama win.

I could realistically see

1: OSU
2. TTU
3. Bama
4. Indiana
5. Oregon
6. Ole Miss
7. ATM
8. Georgia
9. Oklahoma
10. Miami
11. Conference rep
12 conference rep

Not usually an Eeyore but we did the one thing today that we had to avoid to guarantee that we stay in the mix. I hope I’m wrong but I won’t be surprised if we move down to 11 or 12 and get left out again.

28-7 looks bad...thats why Deboer going for it on our 10 was just ridiculous...at that point he was playing the committee's opinion...and doing that was suicidal. If they leave us out then that is also a bad message...it says stay home and not making the championship game is less risky than actually making it...we won the regular season, won a bunch of ranked games and have beaten UGA at their place...but if that's not enough then so be it. If ND/Miami jump us with their schedules then this whole CFP is junk...neither played our schedule...ND barely played a team with a winning record! ...but 12 people get to decide and they've shown they are no fans of Bama

Tend to agree with you on the bad message/CFP junk part. They went from 96% in to now 47% in ... pretty much saying everything they did up to this point is now moot. Its not really adding up after playing in a championship game ... especially against a team they beat during the season.

That's exactly why you cant just say "oh Bama got blew out by Georgia, so they're out". So you're telling me (not you personally, but just a general you) that if DeBoer just threw in the towel and didn't even try to win the game, we'd be in a lot more safely? That's crazy to me, because if a coach did that, he would lose his team. To hear all of the haters talk, you would think we lost by 50. I wouldn't think a 21 point loss would be enough to leave us out. When we said a blowout might keep us out, I was thinking 5 or 6 touchdowns. That's a blowout. For as bad as it looked, we still had an outside shot at winning. That's why we went for it, and that's why they got an extra touchdown.

I would rather just have a regular bowl game for the 2nd and third stringers to get more practice and try to figure out what has gone wrong with this offense. We make the playoffs and lose first round and we have less time to practice.

I think we will end up in Tampa against Iowa and they'll put Texas against Michigan in the Citrus.

Can we turn it down?

Duke is still beating Virginia. If things stay that way, James Madison gets an automatic spot. The committee won’t like the ACC getting nobody in the playoffs, and they’ll put Miami in. Then we are in more trouble.

Better starting cheering hard for Virginia.

That may hurt the fake Golden helmets more
