We really need to beat UConn so we can shut some of these Auburn people up. They seem to think that we just had the easiest path ever to a final four, despite beating a #1 seed. If anything, UConn had an easier path than us. To hear them say it, UConn is just going to run us out of the arena, so we need to beat them so we can watch their heads explode. Saturday couldn't come any quicker.
Why would what a AU fan thinks or says bother you anyway? Just mindless chatter...ignore it!!!

I knew UCON lost 3 games, the talking heads sound as if they can’t be beat. This Bama team has shown that they can defend and outscore the opponent especially when they know there’s not going to be a second chance. Ucon can be beat just like Houston was beaten when most were saying this was their year. Headlines Saturday read s
“Alabama Defeats UCON”. “Tide Rolls Into Championship Game”!!
UConn has loss to 3 teams ... Kansas, Seton Hall, and Creighton. Ironically the team that beat them by the most points is the team that plays a similar style as us.

Win or lose, this team has earned their respect ... and if the world didn't know about Bama Basketball ... they know now RTR

As a 70 year old long time Bama fan I was elated with the last two games. I was a student at Bama when Wendle Hudson, Charles Cleveland, Ramymond Odums and Leon Douglas were all playing. I never missed a home game and they brought a lot of excitement to Tuscaloosa. i think the pre-season schedule this year was instrumental in their deep run in the tournament. I think they have a chance if they can play as well offensively as the last two games and Pringle can play as well as the last game and not get dominated by the tall guy in the middle. Illinois was even with UConn at 23-23 and they went to sleep and let UCONN have a 30-0- run. After that they played even. I think the coaching for Illinois was poor. They kept going at the big man and were unsuccessful and never adjusted. He was blocking shots and causing them to alter their shots and missing them. Hopefully we can keep the outside shots falling. UCONN was not shootging well form the outside either, There is a chance!

Probably at 35k or in an airport somewhere
After we beat UNC, I was loud. I was cheering. I was over the moon elated. Last night I was quiet. My wife in the other room thought we had lost. Not sure why I was quiet. But I was.

Bucket lists are underrated. My list doesn’t have many. But this was one. It was one out of my control, but it was on the list.

And as it came through, I thought about my Dad. He loved Bama Hoops. He loved CM. He loved Wimp. Anthony Murray was his favorite player. Cliff Windham was another. He thought Whatley was a hot dog. But loved Keith Askins. Loved Chuck Davis. He had hopes for Hobbs, and tolerated Gottfried. My Dad left left us in 2010, one month after he saw Saban’s first at Bama.

He would have loved Oats. He would have totally and completely Loved this team. He would have loved Sears. Loved Pringle. But, I think Rylan would have been his favorite. A kid that hugs his coach like a little kid. A kid who loves and adores his teammates. A kid who fired daggers last night to stem the run.

Lots of those thoughts channeled through my head as the last “minute” seemed to take forever. When the clock reached about 10 seconds, I was finally confident that it was true. Checked off my bucket list.

then I smiled. Looked at my Dad’s picture over my desk. And cried a little.

RTR. Win or lose. We’ve already won. I know I have.
I've never met you or your dad, and I got a little misty at the end. Well-written...

I actually feel pretty good about this game. UConn is not unbeatable. If we played 10 times, we'd surely win at least several. In this case, we only need to win 1. Nobody in the media thinks we have a prayer, and we seem to play better that way .if we shoot 41% from 3 again, we're gonna have a pretty solid shot to win.

There'll be plenty of tasty rat poison coming their way this week. Just want them to play loose and see what happens. Definitely can't pass up any open looks. Oats seems to be a Saban-level preparation fanatic, so if anyone can come up with a solid game plan it's him.

IMO the concerns are the lack of a big banger down low (only team in the FF without one) and the effect playing in a big stadium can have on shooting.

Couldn't be prouder of these guys whatever happens, but let's channel the spirit of Norman Dale and the fightin' Huskers of Hickory and win the whole thing.
