YouTube - Demetruce McNeal Controversial Hit On Kyle Parker

Watch this link as McNeal lowers his helmet into Kyle Parker's back.
Chizik, are you not teaching this?

He certainly isn't doing anything to discourage it. This crap goes back to last year as well. Anyone remember the cheap shot that Darren Bates of AU took on GMAC last year? It was on the 1st half TD that Greg threw to Colin Peek. It was a clear attempt to take Greg out of the game. Scumbags...

This goes back even farther than last year. Wasn't Chaz Ramsey well known for chop blocks? Ryan Pugh's and Lee Ziemba's names seem to come up a lot whenever questionable tactics have been used.

One of my sons-in-laws had the audacity to mention Javy and Ro and how intense they played. The huge difference is that Javy and Ro never gained a rep as an dirty player. That comparison just really burned me, and he knows it did...

playing hard and with intensity is allowed and respected, taking cheap shots and dirty play are something a team does when they know they are inferior to others.

The SEC won't do a thing about this - Mike Slive doesn't have the stones to do it. I certainly hope that our offensive line is watching this and while I don't want them to do something stupid that will cost us the game, I hope our guys are willing to stand tall for G-Mac if events warrant, and I hope our defense will do likewise.

They've actually suspended two players this season for dirty play. I hate to say it, but I think the prospect of another BCSGC champ may inhibit their inclination to take a player like Fairley out of the next game. I hope I'm wrong...

In the 80s 'Pro-Wrestler Rick Flair' used to call himself...
'The Dirtiest Player in the Game'

IMHO: Auburn is... 'The Dirtiest Team in the Country'.
(They've earned that title)
Fairly has earned the distinction of being 'The Dirtiest player on The Dirtiest Team in the Country'
That's why we call them 'Cheap Shot 'U'

I agree and I believe it is also the reason that it will be a slow process by the NCAA to look deep into the Cam eligibilty case. If Auburn is out then it will likely be a BSU or TCU vs. Oregon in the BCS CG and I doubt that they want that.

Has anyone heard that 2 DLs - Blanc & Goggans - have been suspended for the 1st half oh the IB? I heard that but haven't seen it verified.

I hate to wish harm on a football player, but the out-of-control way that Fairley is playing and knowing that the SEC refs aren't going to do anything to curb him, I'd be fine with intentionally knocking him out early to protect our players.

If the officials or SEC says anything, just tell them that it was a case of self-defense, since they obviously don't care about protecting opposing players from his cheap-shots.

After all Slive is an attorney. How many attorneys do you really trust. So Slive will justify letting CamShaft play and Fairley just to get in the BCS. Its the way lawyers do things. He wont address the Fig or the personal fouls in the GA game this week. He will stay hidden and hope it goes away.

Should be interesting to see how Nick responds if any of the barn players go after Mac after all of this has happen. It wont be pretty.

You are aware that Tide-HSV is an attorney, aren't you?

After reviewing the video, it seems to me that Trooper Taylor was simply trying to get Fairley to the sidelines so there would be no risk of his picking up a suspension for the Iron Bowl. Taylor's extended hand - which I think Fairley took for a congratulatory jesture - seemed to me to be a "cordoning off" gesture to shepherd Fairley to the sidelines.

If the UGA players were trying to "get" Fairley, they did a poor job of it.

Hopefully all this commotion will cause the refs to be more aware of dirty play in a couple of weeks.

And NO, I hope Bama players NEVER stoop to Fairley's level. There's a reason they're Auburn and we're Alabama.

It's a shame really. Fairley's talent is such that he could play clean and still be a dominating player.

I don't know...he does point to the sideline but a coach trying to get a player off the field usually doesn't go skipping after the player or try to give the player a congratulatory shake (twice..right before the cutaway as well)
I saw three minutes of the game. saw fairly smack talking murray after a tackle and laying on top of him and saw him lead with his knees a couple plays later. (player was already done and fairly was just enough late that he was diving over the play but happened to put his knees in the dawg that was on the ground)

Bottom line is Auburn is making a mockery of college football right in front of the nation. Win at ANY cost...
