Come on.If we lose to Clemson in similar fashion to the Auburn game - and Tua never plays - it will mark the beginning of the end of this dynasty.

So, what are the chances that CNS puts in Tua against Clemson? I’d say zero. I agree that Tua is the better pssser and would be starring at most SEC schools, however, I just don’t see CNS “rolling the dice.” I think he sticks with Jalen no matter what happens. Win or lose, he will ride that horse.
If we lose to Clemson and look like we did against Auburn and Tua doesn't get a chance to spark some offense, I will be physically sick before the game is over. I'm counting on better than that.I'm not so apocalyptic but I do think it is a very bad omen if the same thing that got us beat against Auburn is still happening after a month off. It may just be bad omen for some of the offensive staff more than the program itself.
I'm counting on better than that but do not think it will be because of Tua. I think they will gameplan arround hurts better and also may improve his game play better in the month off.If we lose to Clemson and look like we did against Auburn and Tua doesn't get a chance to spark some offense, I will be physically sick before the game is over. I agree we should make a much better showing, be real surprised if notI'm counting on better than that but do not think it will be because of Tua. I think they will gameplan arround hurts better and also may improve his game play better in the month off.
Yes, perfect for a discussion board...Let me recap so far in this thread:
Hurts can't throw, and runs too much.
Hurts not completing passes and distributing the ball to playmakers and need to be benched.
Tua is way better than Jalen and youtube video proved that.
Tua will play.
Tua will not play.
Hurts will be benched.
Hurts will not be benched.
Hurts miss open receivers.
Tua is turnover prone.
Am I right so far?
Here's the issue staring us in the face. We aren't comparing Jalen with "air" we are comparing him with Tua.Right. Hurts is the starter for the bowl games. I think he has proven himself to be an amazing athlete and a pretty good passer. Only problem is Tua is a better passrr. However, I wonder why people have not considered the idea that Jalen could be a better passer after a month of practice, or by next spring. Aj McCarron has become a better passer in his NFL career than he was in his college career. He had FIVE years at Alabama but is still better in his NFL career. Why do people think that January Jalen will be the same as November Jalen?
Just making sure because I haven't read rest of the threads... and If the summary was correct, then there's no need for me to read rest of the threadsYes, perfect for a discussion board...![]()
We also have to assume that Tua will improve, as well. In fact, you can see improvement in the video as the season progresses. Here's the issue staring us in the face. We aren't comparing Jalen with "air" we are comparing him with Tua.
Jalen has 4 times the attempts this year as Tua and this doesn't even count Jalen's freshman year, yet, in just comparing their passing skills, most people agree that Tua is the better passer. Granted, there's more than just passing talent that goes into determining a starter and some of Jalen's other skills have kept him ahead of Tua to this point.
Can Jalen get better? It would be foolish to say "No, he can't." But there's no denying Tua is charging hard with his talents.
Hurts is at the top and Tua is at the bottom. Once again, the stats can be misleading due to several factors. It would be nice if we filter out the information and only use the players that both qbs target and we can see the percentage better. For example, Bo Scarbough is targeted 10 percent under Hurts, but under Tua.. Bo hasn't caught a pass from Tua. For all we know, Hurts could be told to target Ridley and if he's not open, run the ball whereas Tua has more options since they might trust him more. Just throwing that out there. Here is a passing distribution chart.
See if you can tell which QB is which.

Wow! I love a good pie chart to show distribution patterns. I bet the bottom pie chart really makes the skilled guys happy. Here is a passing distribution chart.

So few words, but it has a lot of meaning. And if that's the case....
