When I see posts titled "Is Bama Football Dead?, sad face-Auburn will win by 30 or more, Have We Bottomed Out Yet, sad face-An emotionless Shula leads Bama to another loss, Do We Really Want To Go To A Bowl, If Shula Does Not Win Six He Should Be Gone, Shula Looks Like A Deer Caught In The Headlights, We Will Never Win Another Game", etc., etc., it ruins my day.
It gets me very depressed and discouraged. It does no good to NOT read the posts (some of which I did not read) because just seeing the title depressed and discouraged me.
So, could you have two football boards, one for the pessimist and one for the optimist? That way I could avoid all the cry-baby, spoiled brat, negative, gloom and doom stuff and just go to the board where people have encouraging things to say. Misery loves company, so they could have a great big pity party all to themselves and I could go to the other board.
I need encouragement. I can go forward with encouragement. Discouragement just drags me down and makes me feel bad. (This is true in all of life, from work, to church, to family.) It has gotten to the point I don't even want to get on TideFans any longer and lately when I have I just get back off again and am thinking of quitting all together. I don't need all that crap and I don't see how you moderators can stand reading all of it. My hat is off to you.
