To start with what should go without saying, last night's outcome had nothing to do with officiating -- we lost the game all by ourselves. Just saying that to hopefully avoid the "how can you blame the officials" argument, because I'm *not*.

That said, there was one incident last night that I absolutely did not understand, and maybe someone can enlighten me. Just before we stopped USC on 4th-and-1, there was a pair of offsetting unsportsmanlike-conduct penalties (maybe it was Robinson on our side?). From viewing the replay, it looked as though that was the correct call.

However, did anyone notice what happend AFTER the play? The refs were trying to talk to both players, and the USC player walked off. Someone went and grabbed him to bring him back, so that the official who made the call could talk to both players. They brought the guy back, and the ref, standing between the two, spent his entire lecture screaming at the Alabama player!

Just curious as to whether anyone else noticed the same thing, and whether someone could fill me in on what was going on there. Thanks!

I don't like blame the officials but,

Bama is the only team that I have seen that can get picked on at home as much as they do away from home . The officials love to call correct calls, but a lot of bad calls on us.

There is know way that USC should not have had some penaltys called on them.
They called that pass interference call on R. Robinson, that if you watch the play again the big WR had his left hook grabbing R. R.by the arm and shoved him or the proper wording pushed off big time. I want post anymore about the "pathetic" officials that are in the SEC, because it is a waste of my time and your time to read it. THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT.... I'm sure ya'll will agree..
