In fact, this quote is why I don't share anything about my kids - I've seen the negative impact that comparison can have on people (especially mothers) when they see what others' kids are doing / accomplishing.

Have you read “Have a Little Faith†by Albom? If not, I highly recommend it.
Outstanding take on choice...our kids need to hear this until they really understand it. If you want to be successful in anything, the road is tough and the "choices" are limited.
