Some of the mods have alluded to this. It is highly unlikely that CMM would have made a change if he did not feel confident that another coach was ready to accept the job. I think your statement about agents is correct. The school has to have permission to talk to a coach employed by another institution; however, I don't think that restriction applies to a coach's agent. I would suppose that the school could not enter into a contract with a new coach while it still had a coach under contract. Therefore, terminating the current coach's contract is the first step. Also, as CMM's statement made clear, some of the coach's being considered have games left to play, so we would not want to interfere with that. All of that being said, it may be a week or more before a new coach is announced, but that's no reason to panic.
