I'm convinced the majority of ITATers are Bama-obsessed, job-less, crack-pot, knuckle-draggers, who have no better goal in life other than to stalk Bama players...and yes I realize not all barn fans are that way, I actually know a couple of nice ones, but apparently they are the exception.
I find no enjoyment of the *U/Bama series anymore, and not because we lost the Iron Bowl to them... I have a healthy dislike for LSU and UTee for the most part, but I respect the rivalry and have always enjoyed the games between our teams, win or lose. The Iron Bowl could be ended tomorrow and I seriously wouldn't care...this kind of stuff is going to far.

Look, I'm not saying anything is shady, it just makes me nervous. There's no way I could have gotten a Yukon in college (heck, I can't afford one now!), and I doubt VERY seriously that thing was 18K. But I come at it from the point of view of a guy who has never been able to afford such. So yeah, when someone, other than someone whose dad works for Jerry Jones, drives a very nice vehicle with a questionable timestamp, I get a little nervous.

You can say "oh, compliance is all over it", and I'm sure they check into some things....but....they can't be everywhere at all times.

I've gotta agree with Bud here. Just because a guy has a black SUV, doesn't mean it's automatically a 40k ride. You can get a '98 SUV with 150,000 miles on it for cheap.

As far as "compliance is all over it." I trust our coaching staff and our compliance staff. One of our guys isn't going to pull a Pryor and show up with 8 different cars and not have somebody say something to him about it. I'm no sunshine pumper, but a kid in a nice looking ride isn't a violation of anything. Given the current atmosphere in CFB, I can see how it would make some people a little squeamish.

I drive a 13 year old Lexus that you could probably get for a lot less than a new Toyota or pickup truck that most of the people I work with drive, and they still make wisecracks about me being overpaid.

I'll be honest, I cringe a little to see one of our guys driving a $40,000 vehicle. I know GMac came from money, but I don't keep up enough with our players' backgrounds to know whose family could possibly afford it, and whose couldn't.

You would be amazed at the fine-tooth comb which is raked over each and every single vehicle a player drives. Financing, source of funds, the whole nine yards is gone into exhaustively. I quit worrying about it a long time ago. I'd suggest of you go back to worrying about the DL, for example...
