Recruiting Update 1/20

Re: Recruiting Update 1/27

I'd assume Gulledge is being considered for an interior OL spot then? He seemed like he'd fit that Gentry role well (he or Dakota Ball). A bit undersized for every down DT, but a good pass rusher in a 4 down/ rabbit set.

Gulledge has stated that he will start off on the Dline once he reports to Bama.

Re: Recruiting Update 1/27

Caleb is not big enough to play like Gentry. He's slim. He would have to gain some weight to play inside.

FWIW, Gulledge is as big as Gentry was his senior year at Prattville, perhaps even a bit bigger. Quickness and short burst may be another story, though, and the extra two or three inches in height that Gulledge has won't help him in that regard.

Alabama Intel has a story up, alleging mutual goo-goo eyeing. Hard to imagine there's room ...but

Thats where he will start but when CNS ask him to switch for the better for the team and his career he will switch.

So, here we are...Signing Day Eve Eve and all is quiet on the recruiting board. Are we to quietly sign a #1 recruiting class with no drama or are there a couple of surprises in store for us? I know we are still in on Tomlinson. What about the DB from Washington that could follow Nussmeier? :BigA:

You are thinking about their QB commit. I don't see him coming to the Capstone. :cool2:

My bad...I just happened to see a thread about a week ago indicating a Washington commit was interested in the Tide even though Nussmeier told him to stick with his committment. I thought he was a DB.

I just think that there may be someone out there ready to surprise us on Wednesday like Lacy did a couple of years ago. But color me totally content with quietly signing who verballed and call it a class.
