I think there are going to be some serious surprises in recruiting this year. But I'm pretty sure Coach has a handle on it. I believe a lot was going on with the Cavin situation and one I think was, he is an EE and Bama is waiting (or already have some silently committed) on higher ranked WRs and I think wanted to wait, and thought he would wait as well. So things broke down. Smart and UGA were the comfortable fit. Cavin was a take but apparently not as an EE. But only they know.Still really surprised with Cavin.

Excuse the run on sentence. Lol
Blood, I agree. It's been years since we've had so many open spots this late in the cycle. Even assuming a number private commitments, we still have a significant -- and defining -- portion of our class to fill. The next few weeks leading up to signing day -- particularly if we take care of business Monday night -- could be a hoot.
My Mood

Don't think Cavin wanted to play in brothers shadow. Be his own man. He was a take but his SC announcement was a surprise. So we moved on. His choice. He is entitled to do what he wants but it is clear he wanted to chart his own course.
UGAI thought he decommitted from SCar. Did he recommitt?? Good lord, I can't keep up with these kids....smh
As Pat Dye used to say, big dogs walk lateI expect - I mean hope - that our low numbers to date are due to the fact that a lot of major recruits like to keep the suspense and announce on signing day. I hate to bring up Free Shoes but in their heyday they would go into signing day with less than half a class. Come signing day Bowden would be number 1 having knowledge of silent commits from a bevy of five star rated kids. We may be entering a new phase in recruiting under Saban with that same principle. Recruit the best of the best "high character" kids, take them on their word and let them play the game until signing day. It is a risky strategy but fruitful if you are recruiting good character talent.

In Coach Saban I trust.I hope that`s what it is and not our success and depth finally catching up with us.

C'mon man. You need to relax and enjoy the finish!
