Richardson needs to quit returning kicks.

As fans we have the right to question what ever we want but I think CNS has a little more insight about this team then anyone else on this board.That being said I'm going to trust coach run the team the way he see's fit.

Don't get me wrong, I think Richardson has done very well on KR and am not suggesting that he be pulled for someone else. I just wondered if something was wrong, because he did not look like his normal self...

I am actually surprised that THIS is even being questioned...if anything I thought TR's returns put us in great field position through the game. He was bringing it from the 1 yard line (if not less) on kick offs to the 30ish on a consistent basis.

I know its in people's nature to over analyze when things don't go our way. But for kicks and giggles, let's quantify this. What type of yardage return are people expecting?

I agree. He did look tentative on more than one return, and was stopped around the 15 or 20 yard line a couple of times. And I'm not at all saying that he should be taken out of KRs. Just saying what I saw. I'll watch the replay tonight to see if I still think that way.

This. I have even seen people criticizing Saban. Ok. Let's fire Saban and bring in someone who knows what they are doing. Obviously he isn't smart enough to put someone on the field who can return kicks.

Losing the game is not reason to start changing things that fans think should be changed. There is a reason Trent is on the field for kick returns and kick coverage. The whole team seemed to be slow to me Saturday. Have to remember they were coming off of a very emotional come back win over Arky followed by a home game win against Florida that while was a blow out still had the same excitement and feel of a big close game. That will take its toll on any team.

Was it just me or did TR not look like he was 100% ? On returns he just didn't look like himself. He looked like he was playing with an injury.

Or you think you are the "smartest kid in the classroom" and your postiton is Qb and you do not throw the ball away. You think that you are "tough enough" to stand in the pocket for 4-5 seconds hoping something will happen.

Trent is an animal plain and simple. He's like a bull out of the gate on the KOR and a monster on KOC. He has gotten us some pretty good field position with his KOR so far.

I agree with your characterization of our fan base, and it drives me crazy. It was 1 loss in the past 2yrs, it was going to happen at some point. If you told me that Bama would be 19 -1 every 20 games, I'd jump for joy .

Everytime Richardson returns a kick I think he about to take it to the house! He is a special player.


The coaches got outcoached Saturday. Coach Saban admitted that, but its just one game. There isn't a better coach in college football.

Oh, so he had some good returns as well as a couple within the 20. Sounds like the other team had A LOT of kick-offs. I don't know much, but that could be a bigger problem than who returns those kicks.
