just got in from oxford. i didn't see anything, and didn't have a battery for my radio.

i did not see RM play. he was dressed, but never saw him in the game. anyone know what the story is?

IMO, his lack of experience was starting to bleed through, and since we're back to full speed at the backer position. He's probably in the right place...on the sidelines.

Well regardless, i think whoever is playing the position needs to improve a bit. PH was out of position a few times on some long runs today, getting in the wrong hole too early and being an easy kickout block to spring a big run.

You saw that too huh? ;)

hall and mustin aren't playing bad, but RM was one of the strengths of the D early in the season. i understand not starting but hardly playing at all?

i obviously am not at practice, but just find it puzzling that he is not in the rotation. especially the way OM was moving the ball on us today.

i have to believe there is something more to it, than he has just gotten beat out.

when the D is on the field for 71+ plays i would think there would be some type of rotation.

Under the last regime, I knew for certain that some players were playing on the basis of favoritism (that's really difficult to believe, isn't it, when the bosses' jobs were on the line). Now, I believe that, if RC is not playing, it's because someone else should be. I don't have to lose sleep over that point...

Well, even at the beginning of the year when McClain was never stepping off the field CNS said he would like to think there were really three starters for the two MLB positions. So maybe Prince Hall never was really as far behind as some of us thought at the time. :p_conf:

Bold statement indeed. I'm very happy that that's rectified then.

mustin also missed his gap assignments throughout the day. both inside linebackers kept overpursuing the zone runs and allowing BJGE to cut back for good chunks of yardage.

His lateral movement is suspect as well.

I noticed this as well. There were also a couple of instances where he was very slow to pick the RB up out of the backfield on plays when OM was passing. When I say slow, I mean really slow.

If these things are that painfully obvious to us, we know the coaches see it. I am sure they will get it fixed one way or the other.

You know thats right. It may be fixed later rather than sooner. Its up to him though. He can get it together and be a summer warrior moving forward or he can get replaced by someone who wants it more and works harder. I really hope a light comes on for him this year and then he can get the physical side of it in order over the off season. No reason to waste good talent and he definitely has the potential. :p_blank:
