There are two streaks that I thought we had very little chance at after the Texas game and that's keeping the national title streak alive for any player recruited by Saban who stays a minimum of 3 years and the #1 ranking at some point in the season for every year since 2008. We may not get there, but we've got a really good chance at keeping those alive.

In Saban's tenure, Alabama has won 207 games, for an average of 12.2 games per season. In that same timeframe, Auburn won 132 games, for an average of 7.8 games per season.

In that timeframe, Alabama has won 75 more games than Auburn, or the equivalent of 6.25 12-game seasons worth of wins. Over 6 seasons worth of wins. Crazy.

How spoiled are the younger fans who’ve never seen anything but the premiere program in college football? How spoiled are we all with 16 straight years of being a legitimate national championship contender? It’s such an incredible run the betting line on duplicating what Bama has accomplished would be astronomical. It’s likely never to be repeated during our lives and maybe never ever again. What a great time we’re living in.

I wish ESPN would publish their analytic tool results for a hypothetical game between FSU vs Texas and FSU vs Alabama. I imagine would both would be skewed heavily against FSU.
