The new is just being released, but the SEC has signed a new TV contract starting next year. They are dropping Raycom sports, and ESPN will hold the rights for 15 years. Get this, one article stated the total worth of the contract to be $2.25 Billion. They are estamiting schools could triple their income from the contract. The news is posted on the SEC web page, www.secsports.com. It lists how the games will be carried, but I did see another article that stated they are still working with the cable companies on getting the distribution worked out. Sound great, if we do not end up having to pay a premimum for the additional networks on standard cable.
