Should we be nervous?

Well I didn't really finish that thought- I mean I KNOW you all KNOW all that above - BUT - it's like no one is taking any of it to heart....and I realize about their QB - but then their defense is supposed to be really strong too - RIGHT?!?

Without their QB - he was every bit as valuable to them as Brodie was to us - they will struggle offensively. I cannot see us losing unless we turn the ball over 3+ times.

If Alabama can establish the run like they did against Kentucky, USM has no chance. I know Ray's out, and USM's D is better than the W-Cats, but if BAMA can run, they will not be beat. If not, then we could be in trouble.

OK - Then - I'm countin' on ya'll to be right !!

Bookies, huh?!? - Oh where are Art & Eddie when ya need 'em..... JUST KIDDING!!!!!!

Hey, I'm nervous any time we take the field now. We are playing a backup QB and are now down one RB, and we don't have a lot of depth to begin with. We can't take ANY game for granted.

Southern Mississippi has beaten us twice on the field in the last 20 years. Once in 1990 in Gene Stalling's debute and once in 2000 in Mike Dubose's exit year, I am not counting the forfeit the NCAA made us give up in 93 since we beat them 40-0 on the field. Somehow that just doesn't strike any fear or make me nervous. They play a good game but too often they seldom get the win. Tide wins.

I'm not nervous, yes our O may be a little shaky but I have no doubt in my mind that our D will give their back up a nice warm welcome to BDS, they don;t call Wallace Gillberry "My Jumbotron" for nothin!!!!!!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in 1990 didn't Southern Miss have that tiny little X-Factor called Bret Favre? I seem to recall him being a decent player. ;)
