Question: So I must ask, who do you think will win it all?

"Playoffs make the regular season mean MORE because look at the ratings!"

So Georgia now might have to face:
Texas, whom they've already beaten twice
Clemson, whom they've beaten handily
Tennessee, whom they've beaten by double digits

Georgia would still be in a four-team playoff. As it is, they might have to go back and eliminate a team they would have already eliminated.

And without their starting QB.........

I think those early games aren't a very good measure as to how teams stack up - for example, I've little confidence that UGA would destroy Clempson like they did game one. And Oregon was dealing with injured OL for the first few games this season.

IOW, in a rematch I bet Oregon wins fairly comfortably.
So, in a rematch Clemson would do better but Boise St would not. People and teams taking them lightly works to Boise's advantage.

Clemson HAS played tough teams consecutively before, maybe not this year.

Boise plays this whole charade where they schedule ONE powerhouse team EARLY in the year so they've got 8 months to get ready. Most years - if Boise is minimally decent by their low standards - they can beat all the other opponents.

If they get wiped out, well, they'll still be a 9- or 10-win team.
If they lose close, they'll use it to show, "see, we can compete with the big boys."
If they win, it becomes cherry picked "evidence" that they could win it all.

NOBODY is saying Boise CANNOT beat any team in the country.
Any team can beat any given team on any given day, which is how Alabama can knock off Georgia and lose a week later to Vandy.

But what these teams are NOT built to do is:
- go to Kentucky (good some years)
- go to Alabama
- host Auburn (good more often than KY is)
- host Mississippi State (okay, about KY level)
- GO TO TEXAS

The above?
That's Georgia's schedule THIS year. They got through that part with one loss.

Does anyone on this board, no matter how much you may loathe UGA, think Boise escapes that schedule with ONE loss??

I never said that Boise would have a great record if they played an SEC every week. Obviously, from your post you insinuate that I did. That has nothing to do what I said. I said Boise is talented enough to beat any team and you evidently don't disagree. So, what is your point?

I'm in Cherokee, NC and just put money on an UGA - Oregon final. As long as they're both in, I win. Outside of that, I don't care.

I know this hasn’t been discussed much, but ex Ohio State QB has a chance for a 10-3 season at Syracuse and the first year for their new coach. They are in the Holiday bowl vs WSU.

That’s the best Syracuse team since the McNabb days IMO

For the first time in my life, I am pulling for Oregon to win it. I kinda like Lanning, and I think any of the other probable winners they pose the least risk to us long term. Texas or UGA or OSU winning it would put our program in more of a recruiting/recovery bind imo. I don’t think Tennessee is going anywhere but they can get stuffed too.
