Bottom of 4th: Ellestad grounds out, 1 down. Hubbard strikes out on what was ball four, 2 down. Duchsherer walks. Pate runs for Duchsherer. Preuitt grounds to SS, bobbles it, safe at first. 2 on for BAMA. Vandagriff singles to LF, Pate scores, 4-2 BAMA. Johnson strikes out on ball in the dirt. Catcher doesn't throw down to first so she's safe at first. VT is challenging saying the catcher caught the ball clean, not on bounce. It's very close. On review, it's a catch. We've struck out a few times today on balls out of the strike zone, but then again, what's new. 4-2 BAMA after 4 complete
Top of 5th: K to start the 5th. HR to right center, now 4-3 BAMA. Briski got behind in the count again and came in too sweet. Ground ball to 2nd, 2 down. Walk, runner of first, 2 down. Briski was way off on that hitter. Fly out to LF, 3 down. BAMA's lead cut to 1. 4-3 BAMA. We need to score some more runs.
Bottom of 5th: Heivilin walks to lead off. Giles pops out bunting. Why do you have one of your best hitters bunting? WP, Heivilin takes second. Hawkins grounds out to second, Heivilin to 3rd, 2 down. Ellestad strikes out on a ball way out of the zone. Inning over. Why do we keep doing that? 4-3 BAMA after 5 complete. Wasted opportunity to score another run.
Top of 6th: Pop out to 2nd, 1 down. K for the second out. Fly out to LF, 3 down. We need some insurance runs.
Bottom of 6th: Hubbard hit by pitch, under umpire review. Might have hit the end of the bat first. It's a foul ball, Hubbard back to the plate. Grounds out to 2nd, 1 down. Duchsherer strikes out on a ball at least a foot outside, 2 down. Preuitt walks. Pitching change for VT. Vandagriff at the plate. Preuitt steals second. Vandagriff flies out to right CF. No damage by BAMA. 4-3 BAMA going to the 7th.
Top of 7th: Single to RF to lead off. Ground ball to 3rd, out at second, safe at first. 1 down. ground ball to first, 2 down, runner on second. Intentional walk to one of VT's big home run hitters. runners on first and second, 2 down. Fly out to CF, BAMA advances, despite only getting 3 hits today. I'll take it. BAMA wins 4-3.

I think they’ve gone with “elimination game/bracket.” But losers bracket is better because of the shame associated with it. You’re the top seed and lost to an inferior opponent. Welcome to the losers bracket.

In the 1960s the NFL had a third place game for the teams that finished second in their conference. It was called the Playoff Bowl. The Packers played in it a couple times and Vince Lombardi called it something I can’t say here.
The championship game against Virginia Tech is in a weather delay. Right about start time there was a lightning strike within 8 miles of the stadium - minimum 30 minute delay.
BAMA - VT, no score after 1 inning. BAMA is the visitor in this game. We got a lead off triple to start the game but couldn't get her in. VT went down 1-2-3.
Top of 2nd: Hawkins K's on a ball out of the zone, 1 down. Ellestad flies out to LF, 2 down. Hubbard fouls out to 1B, 3 down. In the first two innings we have 3 K's, a couple of them ugly.
