My favorite thing so far is the multiple tweets of people saying that Saban is going to coach BOTH Alabama and Texas next year.
Come to think of it - that's actually almost possible, har har. The following are the games he will be on the sidelines for which team
August 30 - Alabama vs WVA (UT plays UNT)
September 6 - Texas vs BYU (UA plays FAU)
September 13 - Texas vs UCLA (UA plays USM)
September 20 - UA vs Florida (Texas has open date)
September 27 - Texas vs Kansas (UA has open date)
October 4 - both games (Texas-Baylor, Alabama- Ole Miss) - has already arranged for this to be morning kickoff in Texas followed by quick post-game flight to Oxford for late ESPN 8 pm start time
October 11 - both games (Texas-OU, Alabama-Arky; fortunately, Dallas is a quick hop to Fayetteville and the OU game is usually at 11 am)
October 18 - Alabama-Texas A&M (Texas plays Iowa St, who needs a coach for that?)
October 25 - Alabama-Tennessee (Texas plays K-State but Mack Brown will interim for this game)
November 1 - Texas-Texas Tech (Tide off week)
November 8 - Alabama-LSU (since he will have already played WVA, he's leaving Mack the game plan to invoke)
November 15 - Texas-Okie St (will leave Kirby to get OJT against Miss St)
November 22 - Alabama-W Carolina (Texas off week, plus WCU is "a challenge" that "needs our fans there the entire game")
November 27 - Texas-TCU
November 29 - Iron Bowl
December 6 - SECCG
The only problem is that if they both go unbeaten, he'll have to figure out who he wants to coach in the national title game.
It's a DONE DEAL, people!!!
