I saw an article and interview with Tim Kennan. He was very high on him and said to keep an eye on DL Edric Hill. He showed flashes in a back up role last year but looks like he is ready to show in early parts of games.

Man that list is why I wish Mbakwe would focus all his energy on the secondary and return specialist.
He'd probably get more play time on defense.
He is special with the ball in his hands. He is a more polished DB as of right now but if his heart isn't set on playing on that side of the ball he would be a liability. If he will keep working and stick with it he will be a major problem down the road playing WR. In CKD's offense, you can't have enough quality WR's...
We're pretty loaded at DB now too. I'm not sure he'd be that high on the depth chart on defense.
I assume he knew there would be a season of adjustment while he learned how to be a college receiver. I have no doubt he has the ability to be an NFL level talent.
This is a very good sign. Good to see DT Beaman is up to 315 lbs since we need some beef.

We will see. Mbakwe was a QB in HS and is quick and fast which could translate very well at WR.
Mbakwe was a two way player at QB and CB in HS and like in most cases in HS football he was one of the best athletes on his team.
He's used to having the ball in his hands. The real adjustment will be catching and running. But imagine the possibilities of "trick plays" with him as an option!

No clue, but the first scrimmage last year was March 28, so probably within the next two weeks or so.
I don’t see how it could be debatable that a more varied game plan would help the O line, immensely compared to last season.
Information in general and regarding scrimmages in particular is going to be frustratingly opaque this spring.
There's an invitation-only practice this coming Saturday (the 22nd). Historically, these have been scrimmages. The invitation is crystal clear that the practice on the 22nd is NOT a scrimmage. Looks like we might get information on warmups and position drills and maybe some 7-on7, but nothing else.
Guessing they got tired of the moron posting live feeds of scrimmages on Booktagram or whatever.
I'm sure some information on real scrimmages, whenever they might happen, will seep out. But it won't be much. They're clamping down hard on fan access, even at the donor / REC level. What little information there is will be really skimpy.
For April 12, in what may be the last A-Day game ever, I fully expect us to run only the 5 plays that we were able to run last season. I'm sure every DC in the country has those etched into their memory, so no useful information divulged there.
I have no inside access whatsoever. But my personal prediction is that there will be no A-Day game of any description in 2026. Maybe a fan day with proceeds from paid autographs going to the pay-for-play collective. But nothing more.

So let me get this right...
The university wants donors to pay for players NIL but are scaling back the access to watch a simple practice? We have lost our marbles...
I imagine that would change depending on how many number are to the left of the decimal point of your donation.
We're now loaded at the WR position as well with kids who solely play WR. I hope he doesn't turn into a "jack of all trades but a master of none" type of player. If he's a better CB than WR I want him at that position, not necessarily at the position he wants to be at and though it may take some hard conversations, the staff needs to make that determination and have a conversation with him so he doesn't waste his talent.
