Ole Miss ran 86 play and Alabama only ran 71, yet the TOP was almost even.

Ole Miss ran the ball 57 times last night. Yes - 57 times. Let that sink in. Alabama's failure to stop the run led to that. Even with Corral throwing dimes, they just kept running the ball.

57 times
I asked several times last night how in the world was Ole Miss physically dominating our DL. The holes they were opening up many times looked like something on the HS level.

I was just thinking about the Jalen/Tua situation and how long it took Coach to pull the trigger for the better of the team. Seems like to me, we are at that point with the defense. I am hoping this is being addressed today and changes being planned and implemented for the better of the team.

It was pulled just in time, but should have been done quicker........

They say that you cannot get an alcoholic to change, unless they want to do it on their own. And that only happens once they realize they have hit rock bottom, and know it is time for a drastic change.

Don't know any alcoholics, but whining the other guy may have you defensive signals tells me they still have that bottle in their hand.
Just as the game has changed, Cuda, so has the definition of an "alcoholic".

These days, it's "anyone who drinks more than you do. Whom you don't like..." 🍻

Coach Bryant was a leader in changing offensive schemes. Remember the Wishbone?
You weren't following me, but you're probably nothing like as old. I was referring to his decision to retire when the wishbone had been figured out, rather than go back to a passing offense. He talked about it openly and at length...

I suspect his health also played a role in his retirement.

the last DC only lasted one year, Nick was probably trying for some continuity in the defensive staff, plus With last years injuries , it wasn’t a fair evaluation . He picked CPG young, like most of his other DC’s through the years. I think after this year CPG will get a fair assessment , and Probably be shown the door if things don’t turn around. I think it will be like the Major Applewhite situation where CNS knows he has talent but he is not right for the job just yet!

I also do truly think that CLK has probably been game planning for this game since they started back practicing. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he did a Clempson and began practicing for Bama weeks ago. He wanted Sooooooo BAD to be the FIRST assistant to beat Daddy.

I'm going to wait & see the results from the Georgia game..Give Kiffin credit for doing his homework, çause he called a great game, he also kept notes about any weaknesses of Coach Saban's D while he was at Bama..Cause he exploited the weaknesses of Coach Saban's D & that was being brave enough throwing the ball across the middle of our D & his QB did it with confidence, did it as effective as any QB, has since Coach Saban's D been at Alabama..

The one thing I'm truly worried about is how bad they shoved the ball down our throats running the ball & we simply got pounded by them..I still cringe thinking about that & really worried about Georgia running all over us..I've never seen our D get pushed around like our 3rd string D was the starters

Thankfully we have an offense putting up crazy Pac 12 type offensive numbers, but, we also have a Pac 12 type D giving up ridiculous offensive numbers as well..
This!!

Kidding has an ego and he pulled out all stops to be the first assistant to beat the master. He threw things at us that weren't on film.

He called an awesome game and was a defensive stop away from making history. I was quite surprised to see him try that field goal.

Next week will tell the tale on our defense...🤔

A horrible stat in which we're dead last in the nation - 3 and outs...

SDS
I actually came here to post that.

This sort of thing is why I was getting worked up over the first two games as well. I think from a casual standpoint it was easy to go yeah well Alabama didn't give up that many points, not that many yards, it's not that bad. I get that...

But, the defense just wasn't completely shutting down offenses like they used to. I would imagine there were years in which Alabama was first in the nation (or close to it) in 3 and outs. Their ability to get off the field quickly is severely compromised.

I guess I can just hope this is the A-Day version of the team and they take some big strides forward in the coming weeks.

They were talking about making excuses for poor play, as an alcoholic not yet ready to give up drinking makes excuses for his/her decision to continue to drink. There was no connection to Sark or his history in any way.
Glad to hear, sometimes you walk up on your buddies at the bar and they are engaged in some weird conversation
