Stopping Trump's Move Toward Authoritarianism

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Sorry - I haven't seen anyone who is not already a politician/partisan activist/political commentator actually say this is why they did not participate on the "No Kings" protests.

Did you actually hear someone - just an average person on the street - say it - this is why they chose not to participate....or is it a theory of yours?
If I tracked down one person who said that, it would be called anecdotal and proof of nothing. That’s the problem with this kind of demand — it isn’t about evidence, it’s about dismissing whatever doesn’t fit the narrative.

What I’m talking about isn’t hidden or theoretical. It’s in arrest records, court filings, and credible reporting from the past few months. The fact that people affected by it don’t broadcast it on cue doesn’t make it any less real.

The people most likely to face profiling are also the least likely to advertise that experience in public. Fear and fatigue are powerful silencers, and expecting them to raise their hands for your approval doesn’t make much sense. Here’s what does, though: once intimidation becomes routine, it keeps expanding to whoever challenges power next.

Of course, it is not a theory of his but the truth and you know that

Of course, it is also easy to find a reddit thread where non-white people confirm exactly what @Huckleberry has posted:

President for Life

Donald Trump is trying to amass the powers of a king.

In the normal course of history, the president of the United States is a figure who inspires optimism in the American people. The 47th president prefers to stir feelings of fear, vulnerability, hopelessness, and political inevitability—the sense that he, and only he, can rescue the nation from looming peril. Since his second inauguration, Donald Trump has seized authoritarian control over the federal government and demanded the obedience of the other powerful institutions of American society—universities, law firms, media companies. The question weighing heavily on the minds of many Americans is whether Trump will subvert next year’s midterm elections or the 2028 presidential election to extend his reign.

Donald Trump’s Plan to Subvert the Midterms Is Already Under Way

Our election system is reaching a breaking point.

Imagine for a moment that it’s late on Election Day, November 3, 2026. Republicans have kept their majority in the Senate, but too many House races are still uncalled to tell who has won that chamber. Control seems like it will come down to two districts in Maricopa County, Arizona. ICE agents and National Guardsmen have been deployed there since that summer, ostensibly in response to criminal immigrants, though crime has been dropping for several years. The county is almost one-third Hispanic or Latino. Voting-rights advocates say the armed presence has depressed turnout, but nonetheless, the races are close. By that evening, the Republican candidates have small leads, but thousands of mail and provisional ballots remain uncounted.

Seems like a lot of male models turn out to be gay, not that there's anything wrong with that... :)

Pentagon readying thousands of Guard ‘reaction forces’ as U.S. mission widens

Up to 23,500 service members are being readied and trained for civil unrest missions in U.S. cities.

This is how Trump will quell future “No Kings” rallies as well as demonstrations against any of his policies. The right to assemble peacefully if you disagree with Trump is in grave danger. He’ll call any gatherings “civil unrest” and eliminate the voice of the opposition. And that’s merely a prelude to his plans for the 2026 elections.
