HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Authorities in Pennsylvania arrested a suspect in the killings of four University of Idaho students who were found stabbed to death in their beds more than a month ago, a law enforcement official said Friday.

Arrest paperwork filed in Monroe County Court said Bryan Christopher Kohberger, 28, was being held for extradition to Idaho on a warrant for first degree murder.

A Ph.D. student by the same name is listed in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Washington State University, which is a short drive across the state line from the University of Idaho.

Be interesting to find out what the motive was......

Is it just me or does he have a slight resemblance to Christopher Moltisanti from “The Sopranos”? No, not a dead ringer but looks like he could be a cousin.

This case intrigued me because it’s stabbings. Ain’t easy to STAB four people to death unless maybe they were all drugged out, which I haven’t heard.

Apparently, they all fought back and had self-defense wounds, which raises the question again of an accomplice...

Thx, I didn’t know that part. Haven’t followed it THAT closely as far as details. What intrigued me at first is one of the victims (Chapin) is from the same town of origin as my Oregon bud (Mt Vernon, WA).

You may be right. It’s a storyline out of several crime dramas like Bones, NCIS, CSI, etc. Entertaining on the small screen but I didn’t think anyone would be dumb enough to try it.
I chuckled that CSI and The Sopranos were big at the same time. CSI would solve crimes based on the angle of a postage stamp while The Sopranos would leave dead bodies right on the street, in an old folks home or even in a delicatessen with witnesses - and not a single time did they arrest the hit men (they arrested Johnny Sack for conspiracy to murder).

It’s almost like both shows couldn’t possibly be true at the same time but both were blockbusters.

Yeah, I get it - the mob would have been in trouble had Grissom been in New York City…..

Probable Cause Affidavit Unsealed

Killer left behind his knife sheath with DNA on it. Also a footprint. One of the surviving occupants was able to provide a partial description of killer.

Also through forensic telephone records....they determined he was at or near the residence 12 times before the murders occurred.

They also determined the suspect's car pretty quickly through a lot of video.

So it looks like it it was a targeted killing.

And those highway stops....on purpose. Investigators wanted some closeup images of his hands....

Some pretty solid police work here.....
