TE Tre McKitty

Anyone know if we are in play with this guy and a potential transfer? Has great size and great tape as a freshman. Appears to be around 6'5 245 listed on Florida State roster.

I just read on another site that Bama has contacted him. He is getting lots of phone calls from other schools. Graduates over summer. Eligible immediately.

Also, Brandon Frazier is not visiting Bama now, and will visit Arkansas and Auburn instead. Article said it looks like one of those 2 schools is in the lead now instead of Bama, but it could change. We really need a tight end. I cannot understand why a player would not want to come to Bama with the offense we have.

Probably a little negative recruiting going on....... seems like when someone is interested in Bama, things suddenly change and then they arent

Well, I just can`t imagine anybody stooping to such tactics. Oh wait.....

You know, everybody knows it`s not " fun " at Alabama. Never mind the fact that you may well get the finest training and counseling when it comes to making millions in the NFL. But remember, it`s still not fun!

I saw on another Bama site that Brandon Frazier has 3CB’s to Auburn... he really likes Chad Morris.

Tre M. seems to be going to UGA now.

So, Auburn gets 2 TE we wanted, Georgia got 1 possibly 2, and LSU got Arik Gilbert. What’s the deal, negative recruiting? I just don’t understand why our coaches can’t seem to get one, other than the one who has the injury. I think it’s a torn ACL?

Don't sweat it, because you are fine for 2020. But you need to hit on 2 TEs next cycle.

Well, the flip side to that is if we got one TE this year - we wouldn't need to hit on 2 TEs next cycle. Seeing as how difficult it has been to get one, getting two next year seems twice as unlikely. But what do I know, ha!

Well there’s definitely negative recruiting going on I heard it first hand when I spoke with kelee ringos parents at the army AA game. I think we need to look inward at our coaching staff first. We have 2 position coaches that hasn’t landed a big time recruit at their positions since they been at Bama. It happens to be at the two positions we are sorely lacking at. TE and Inside LB. Jeff banks and Golding aren’t getting it done on the recruiting trail and that’s just the facts.

Yes, but you can't get everyone. This is a great class that addresses your biggest needs.

Missing on every big time target at a position of need is not fine.. kids not choosing Bama can become a trend. Perception is everything.

I would love to be a fly on the wall listening to Kirby negative recruit. No telling what he says. Saban needs to send an "insider" to their athletic facility anonymously and see what's happening. lol.

Do coaches recruit the areas they are most familiar with, or does a position coach usually only recruit their position? I thought it was a mixture of both. It would be interesting to know which of our coaches have recruited certain areas, certain positions, and who seems to be the best recruiter. I know Tosh was a good recruiter when he was here. Maybe Saban needs to start giving more $ incentives like UGA and LSU do? Whatever is legal, that is. I would love to know how all that works.

Yep it’s a great class no doubt. We didn’t land a top inside LB or a top TE. The mentally of you can’t get everyone isn’t how Bama dynasty got this far. I guess kirby took the belief in Bama being able to get everyone with him to UGA? Missing on every top target at 2 positions just doesn’t sit right with me I refuse to settle in to that we can’t get everyone mentality. Fire banks and golding and get some guys who can recruit.

If there is an issue, then it needs to be looked into...……………..I know Saban doesn't negative recruit, but the assistants need to figure out whats up and counter it. I guess other teams new motto is "if you cant beat them, tell lies about them"

I really don’t understand how the bulldogs are suddenly pulling in TE and wideout recruits/transfers. Kirby’s offense is stagnant, they don’t have a big time QB , regardless of what Mark Richt said about Newman. For the record, Jamie Newman is a career 60% Passer and averages less than 4 yards/carry on the ground. Makes you wonder about that comment Zach Evans made about grabbing his Bag, . Maybe thats why UGA denied Evans LOI. He let the cat out of the bag. $$$. At least Clemson routes their payments through the church .
