Ravens! Wish we could have got Julio! Maybe next year we haul in Richardson and strengthen our running game. Can't wait to see what T.Cody can do for us this year.

Well I'm a Saints fan so it can't get any better for me. We got my favorite Bama player from last years team.

In the AFC the Jets with Namath were my first ever favorite team. Then the Raiders with Snake. So GMAC going to the Jets is cool with me, although I'm not sure it was the best thing for him.

When it got late in the first round I was hoping Mark would get passed up and picked up by my beloved Packers at #32. The Falcons are my 2nd fav so will be pulling hard for Julio.

What's the big deal? Bleh!
My brother was born and raised in Alabama and he's a Boston Celtics fan. I think it's understandable to be annoyed by Cowboys fans, Yankees fans, etc... because in a lot of instances there are no geographical or ties of any other sort other than those teams happened to be doing really well during the individual's formative years. So, even if you are not the impression someone might get from a person living in Alabama and cheering for the Cowboys was that they started out as a bandwagon fan (who might have passed over the long-suffering Saints and Falcons to decide the Cowboys were their favorite team). I mean from 66-81 they only won less than ten games twice, it didn't exactly require being a die hard to cheer for them. I can get being such a die hard Alabama fan that you follow your pro teams accordingly, but I have to count myself as one that doesn't look as fondly on people that just seemed to pick who ever was winning to cheer for.

So because I am an Alabama native...I shouldn't pull for a pro team outside this region? I guess I'll just jump on that Saints and Falcons bandwagon
I have been a Cowboys fan since age 6 and that's not gonna change. I have been a fan during the great seasons and the horrible seasons. Anyone who is annoyed by it will just have to be annoyed. If you wanna talk about bandwagon or "Johnny come lately" fans....try looking at the Saints! Where have all their fans been up until the last few years?
BTW, kudos to your brother....a fellow Celtics fan. I've also been a Oakland A's fan since age 8. But I guess I'll start liking the Braves now

I was a Redskins fan for many years. However, current owner Dan Snyder's boneheaded trades over the years finally caused me to abandon them in disgust. I tried to be a Ravens fan (because of Ozzie...) but I just can't get interested. Last year the only NFL game I watched was the Super Bowl. This year I even missed that one. I'll take a shot at being a Saints or Falcons fan. The test of my "fanhood" will be whether or not I'm willing to turn on the TV and watch a game... I kinda' doubt it though...

I guess I have been the type to jump from team to team. I have always liked the Falcons to a degree so now that Julio is on the team, they may be my new favorite.

Not a fan of the Saints or the Bills, but I wish Mark and Marcell all the best. I like the Jets so I'm glad to see Greg go there.

I wish the cards got julio. Fitzgerald and julio would be near impossible to stop but my team needs a franchise qb to do well.

Its tough being a Redskins fan because of Snyder but its a blast going to the games--the REAL Skins fans are there come rain, sleet or snow! Roll Tide!

You asked a question and got an answer. I count myself amongst those that are annoyed by people that cheer for teams simply based on the criteria that they were winning (or weird criteria like team colors). I mean, let's not even bother with the Southeast, let's just look at the standings and pick the team to cheer for. Nope, don't respect that. So did you pull for the USSR in the Olympics as well? I mean they had a heck of a run in the 70s.

Before you get all in a huff about that, understand how some of us lifelong Southeasterners might view someone that cheers for a basketball team 1,300 miles away apparently on the sole criteria of their success as a team. So anyway, that's the answer to your question. There are people that are going to be annoyed by Yankees, Cowboys, Lakers, Celtics, etc... fans in general and annoyed doubly by a Cowboys fan that has the audacity to call a Saints fan fair weather. And of course you didn't cheer for the Braves, they were horrible in the 1970s. Oakland has Reggie Jackson and was winning World Series in the 1970s...

The great thing about being from Alabama you can cheer for which ever pro team you like. The reason why there are so many Cowboy and Redskins fans across the country is because those were the teams that were seen on TV every week. Way back in the day you didn't get as many games as you do now. One thing for sure you could catch the Cowboys, Lakers, Celtics and Yankees on local television as many people 20 years ago did not have cable. To think of it what kid would have cheered for the Saints back than the die hards showed up to the games with bags on their heads. If Alabama ever gets a pro team than I will root for them but until than I will root for University of Alabama and the players I like.

I really don't care! You are the only person to ever bring this reasoning up to me and made such a big deal about it. So don't act as if you are speaking on behalf of everyone.
Be annoyed is all I can say. I was a child when I chose my pro teams and I'm still a fan of those same teams. And you asking me if I pulled for the USSR is just plain stupid. Grow up!

Been a Niner fan all my life. Nothing's gonna change that. Like all of you, I wish all of our guys success. But I'm a Niner for life
How dare you! You don't live on the west coast! You only like them because of their franchise success, Montana, Young, Rice, etc. Your favorites should be the Falcons and Saints. I bet you cheered for the Russians!

Hilarious. How about this? I hate the Braves. Can't stand the Titans. Have no love at all for the Falcons, Saints or Panthers (since they were our NFC West rivals before the realignment). My convictions are what they are.

Actually, I was a Niner fan before I was a Bama fan. The first game I ever saw was when I was 5 years old. Super Bowl XXIII...Montana's drive vs. the Bengals to top them 20-16. That not only made me a Niner fan. It made me a FOOTBALL fan. So yeah...My loyalty doesn't lie with geography. The only thing around these parts that I give a rip about is Bama football. College basketball, I'm a TarHeel (Bama's my alma mater, so obviously there's some rooting interest there). Pro baseball I'm a Yankee. NBA..with so much free agency, I just latch on to a favorite player and wherever he is, that's my squad. Since Barkley retired, that person's been Kevin Garnett. Once he retires, it'll be Kevin Durant. So yeah...I'm a complicated man (at least that's what my tombstone will read), but I like what I like

I don't really care about NFL teams, I just like seeing the Bama guys do well. Every time I watch a game I count the Bama players on both sides, whoever has more Bama guys I root for. Roll Tide!
Crimson, that is the same thing I do! ROFL!!
