Tejas Fans Still Bitter?

This may be true. But i actually had a conversation with Dre about this play at my place in Tuscaloosa while playing NBA 2K11 :cool2:. (hes a pretty humble, good guy, he came over and chilled with us a few times with some other bama players) but anyways... he acted like he knew about it at least, because he was ....ed off that P.J. didn't throw it far enough for him to catch it. I think his quote was along the lines of "man i was ....ed about that, if he woulda just got the ball to me i was gone." I guess he could have not known about it and just still been angry in retrospect.

although IMO freshman Dre, if he would have scored, for sure would have gotten a celebration penalty. BUT it would have been well worth it. :p

Could be, I was just taking Coach Saban at his word.

I'd be bitter too if Bama took my schools "Manhood" away from them..With the beat down in the NC Game..Texas hasn't recovered that loss..I'm not sure Mack will be able too recover..He's just a another HC ""The Process" has reduced to a mental mess..

Whenever I hear the Colt excuse I apologize for our guys being so big, strong, and fast.

It is a contact sport..

Well, as far as not letting go is concerned, I sympathize. After all, when Cam Newton led a comeback on us in the Iron Bowl, I couldn't bring myself to post again on Tidefans until, well, today. It's not logical, but it's true.

Losses hurt. They're supposed to. Otherwise, you just don't care enough.

BTW, the last Championship did a lot to help bring me back to life. A couple more, and I'll be good as new. :)

Hahaha, Bamachile, you hit the nail on the head. I seem to recall a lot of, "IF Mark hadn't fumbled," and "IF that ball hadn't rolled straight for twenty yards instead of going out of bounds," and "IF Trent hadn't dropped a sure TD," and "IF Mark Barron hadn't gotten hurt." The truth is that all of those "Ifs" could have made the difference for us against Aubs, and Colt's presence for the entire game could have made the difference for the Horns; however, none of the "ifs" matter. The only thing that matters is what actually DOES happen on the field, so the Horns can continue to complain or move on. Excuses are for losers, and to the victors go the spoils. Personally, I'm with you; I'd like a few more titles to enjoy, and I hope this year brings an SEC and/or national title for us to celebrate. Roll Tide!

Who cares if they are bitter? I can give you a long list of woulda, coulda, shoulda, what if.

In the 1991 Orange Bowl, Colorado lost their QB while trailing Notre Dame in the first half. They won the national title with a backup.

The 1990 NY Giants lost Phil Sims in December. They won the Super Bowl with a backup who had not taken any meaningful snaps for five years.

In 1979, the Oilers lost starting QB Dan Pastorini for a playoff game with the Chargers. They won with a backup who had never taken an NFL snap.

In 1978, Dallas QB Roger Staubach was knocked unconscious in a playoff game against Atlanta. Trailing 20-13, backup Danny White brought them back to win.

During the 1995 season, the 49ers lost Steve Young and a couple of other stars for their marquee game with Dallas. They roared out to a 24-0 lead with backup Elvis Grbac and won the game.

In 1994, Nebraska QB Tommie Frazier, who had gotten the Big Red within a minute of the 93 national title, went down with a blood clot. Backup Brook Berringer led Nebraska to an unbeaten season, only getting benched in the Orange Bowl when Frazier could play again.

Alabama's Michael Rogers missed the 1993 Sugar Bowl due to a car wreck. They won the national title.

Jay Barker missed the 1993 Gator Bowl due to knee surgery. Brian Burgdorf led the Tide to a win over North Carolina. The Tar Heels coach? Mack Brown.
