Tennessee's no-huddle offense (good or bad)

Hawaii will get press I agree. But if the NH at UT works and UT makes a run you can bet you, UF fans, UGA fans and many others will be sick and tired of seeing CPF, Cut and Ainge all over Sports Center. We all might be reminded that Eric Ainge is the nephew of Danny Ainge former Celtic. I even got tired of that crap last year.

I didn't remember hearing about Danny too much last year; it was his freshman and sophmore years where I didn't know the kid's name, just that he was Danny Ainge's nephew. Gave my wife and in-laws a lot of grief about it.

Speaking of coaching changes and Cut possibly being on Sports Center, do you think Fulmer has ever read "The Prince" by Machiavelli? Of course his own experience should probably teach him the same lesson. The lesson being, how long do you allow a more competent possible replacement to live?

I won't go into the whole coach majors debate because it's not worth it and didn't happen the way some want to believe.

But the last 3 years it's been "Eric Ainge, nephew of Danny Ainge former basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the NBA". It was almost as bad as "Peyton Manning, son of former NFL Great Archie Manning".

Or Coach Phil Fulmer, Son of Sam or son of (you fill in the blank).:biggrin2:

Yes I did! Very proud UT grad 1997. calling me smart should have been a clue for you.

That's what puzzled me.:biggrin2:

Seriously, UT is a good school. I attended some supply chain management classes there a couple of years ago. Part of the deal was we went out to a different restaurant every nite. Man, ya'll got some good chow there!

My wife's time at UT crossed the Majors and Fulmer tenures. She and the rest of her family tell the story exactly the way I am referring to. In fact, Majors himself tells it that way, so I'm not sure what I have wrong.

AllVol, every year Tennessee comes up with some gimick that is supposedly gonna push them into the championship game and always Tennessee dissapoints. All the hype about the tallent the last couple of years and so on and UT is no closer than they were before at being NCs Not really predicting UA to beat UT but UT will dissapoint again this year.

As much as I can't stand him, I wish y'all would keep Phat Phil because if he leaves y'all might actually get a coach with a little sense and be a real power.

I don't think Fulmer is too bad of a HC myself. I do not like anything in regards to UT sports but I think PF recognizes the importance of whipping a team as is in physically beating the other team.

I am suprised about the No huddle deal obviously he is letting Cutcliff do his thing doesn't sound like Fulmer his style of physical football.

I've followed UT football for many years and don't remember any new "gimmicks". UT has been a physical run team for years. If you can name just one year where they used a gimmick I would like to be reminded of it. Passing to a TE (Jason Witten) was about the only gimmick I can remember in over 30 yrs of following UT football.

Well Alabama or most other Southern states are not lacking in the good food department. Dream land is pretty darn good.

if ainge doesnt get knocked around itll be great for them and bad for everyone else. but that wont happen, i think itll get modified very quickly. maybe its me but it seems like if you look at ainge wrong hes rattled. i dont know that ive ever seen him really comfortable in the pocket.

Highest completion % ever during a season at UT last year. Na, he doesnt look comfortable

Hmmmmm it can be good but just not on us.

One thing is for sure. By the time we play the Tide we will know if it works or not. Also I know that no matter what. When the BIG ORANGE and the Tide line against each other, both will leave it on the field. Always have, always will.

Now, I sure would'nt mind UT dusting you and the game being decided by half time. But I'm not gonna get my hopes up for that.

yeah like when he basically made Simeon castille go All-Conference in one game.

Or when he had the best single year at UT by any QB. His passer rating was among the best in the nation.
If you are betting on Ainge not being settled in, you will be disapointed.
