-they believe Willis is a terrible LB coach (even though they praised aubarn LBs during the past season)

-they believe Willis was getting handed in the Mobile area by Bama in recruiting the past 2 years (even though they were estatic when Chizik retained the only good/deserving coach from Tubby)

-they believe Willis coming to Bama was a lateral move and some really think that Bama is a notch below aubarn in program status. Willis should have stay on the plains and learn from the best Defensive mind in CFB.

-they believe Chizik has assemble the best staff in the SEC. aubarn is running circles around CNS and the rest of the league when it comes to recruiting!! 2010 will be their year.

-they believe that if they find a decent QB, they will be competitive in the SEC in 2009 (even though the majority think that they will lose most of the games next season)

I can go on and on regarding these boogers, but you guys get my point.

Auburn is like the Titanic. Lots of hubris, loud talking and a weak hull. Now they have hit the iceberg and are sinking. It is just not true that no one else wanted Auburn's current crop of recruits. Troy, UAB, Marshall, So Miss and Arky State wanted most of them.

My question is this: Is Chizik as dumb as he appears to be? He doesn't seem to have a clue what he is doing. Honestly, no joke. Clueless. If I didn't know better (and, I don't) I might think Lowder, Rain and Dye were all giving conflicting orders to Chizik and Jacobs. What a train wreck in progress. It just keeps wrecking and wrecking and wrecking and wrecking and ............

The short of it is that enough damage was done through Chizik’s mishandling of the situation to make Willis, an Auburn alum, an easy mark for Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban, who suddenly found himself in the market for a linebackers coach.

I don't know, but I don't think it was about salary. In my mind it was about being jerked around like a rag doll by the same folks you played for. Like saying "just because you played here and are part of the Auburn Family don't mean squat," even though you are held in high regard by players, fans and high school coaches. Get Out."
