The David Housel Speech

Man, that guy is weird. I hope he has enjoyed the last 364 days as much as I have.
In my class last week, I showed my students a powerpoint slide which stated simply, "Why I hate Auburn and why you should to."
Then I showed them three videos in which Barn players chop blocked three different opposing players in three different games and injured two of the three opposing players.
When the videos were done, one of my students said, "Auburn's dirty." Another said, "Man, Auburn sucks."

Mission Accomplished.
 
I've always thought that speech sounded like someone sneaked a voice recorder into Housel's padded cell just as his anti-psychotic drugs were beginning to wear off.

If you ever wonder what is wrong with Auburn people, just remember that this guy was THEIR OFFICIAL LEADER. He wasn't a self-appointed lunatic like Marshall Applewhite, Jim Jones or David Koresh. He was appointed by Auburn University to be the administrator and public figurehead of the athletic department. Obviously, no mental health evaluation was performed prior to the appointment.

Could you imagine Mal Moore producing anything similar to that speech?

Housel attempts to make an analogy between Auburn's battle for athletic legitimacy and the British fight against Nazi Germany. SERIOUSLY? The fate of the world and freedom hangs in the balance?

They're coming for our children? Some government agency should have put him in a room and beat him against a radiator for a few hours after that statement.

I can picture Housel sitting on the edge of his bed with his voice recorder in that darkened room, stroking his three-legged pet Marmot while he spouts that nefarious nonsense. He finishes up and then says to the Marmot, "Isn't that right, Mr. Lowder?"
 
:BigA:Is that guy hurting inside that bad? Does he really compare a football game to a war where brave men have been wounded and died for their country? Sounds like he might have had a little too much black jack! This is just a game a very very important game but when all is said and done it is nothing but a game! But my heart will bleed if we loose but there will be another day!
 
I have a feeling after the game Friday his "we will not be knocked out" could come back to the aubies that actually believe it. Knock 'em out boys, we can sort out the bodies after the game. ROLL TIDE!!!!!
 
I was flipping through the channels a week ago and stopped at CBS College Sports channel. They were running a profile of the barn and were interviewing Navid Nousel. They asked him what the top moment in awbarn sports history was.....maybe the '57 NC team....one of the SECC teams.....one of the Heisman trophy winners.....no, he said it was the 1989 victory over Bama in awbarn....."That was the pinnalce moment in awbarn sports history because we forced them to come to awbarn and then we beat them.".....LOL, too funny.....little brother syndrome at its finest.
 
I personally resent him comparing Alabama vs Auburn to the sacrifices of those who died in WWII and Vietnam. Here is a guy who spent his entire adult life in Auburn and whose claim to fame was being Bobby Lowder's personal lackey. It goes far beyond his allegiance to Auburn, the guy is seriously deranged and should spend the rest of his life in a padded room. I hope I have not sugar coated my feelings for him.
 
What "war" between Alabama and Auburn is this guy talking about? How are Auburn fans going to take it to air, take it to the seas, etc?

Yeah, it's a fierce rivalry but its still just a rivalry. Auburn fans are acting like they're occupied France and that every person can help win the war by sabotaging the occupying Nazis (UA).
