The Piedmont Gazette ...

Well I guess this may allow more room in the Greek section since the fraternities/sororities will have to either cut down on their partying before the football game or just not go to the games.

How many beers does it take to blow a .08?

White freaking cleats??? NFW...that's gonna look like the Oakland A's....I hate that look. The only taste that Saban has is in his mouth....He says he hates black shoes....grrrrrrrrr Did LSU wear white cleats??? MSU? I know the Dolfins did and they looked horrible

You mean the Crack Smoke Gazette? I had an eyebrow raised when I read the bit about the Nike jersey rule until I saw the Alba story.... thanks for a complete waste of time.

I feel your pain. I got sucked into it earlier before I figured it out.

"Albatross" gave it away. ;)

I like the dress code enforcement. Nike jerseys only, lol, I love it! The old Kitchens jersye that are two sizes too small that I saw on a few fans (yes they are still out there) last year are no longer allowable, yes! The cheesy, wal-mart rip off jerseys are out, yes! No more jorts, gator fans will have to be alerted to this, lol. And shoes are required? Please tell me there are not fans out there that come to games shoeless, ba wahhh haaaa haaa!

They are correct, there are those that as Mark Bullock on WSFA news in Montgomery would say that need to 'CLEAN UP!' Please shave, shower (some women too) and shampoo also, those around you will appreciate you for it!

Saban says take ownership of the team to all, if you're an owner then appearance is important!

Yes it is a joke, but there is some seriousness in every jest, lol!

I am certainly in favor of the NO DRUNKS rule as that has been a problem near us too. Not with season ticket holders, but with fans who have purchased tickets from the season ticket holders in our section.

However, what is the problem with Cut-Off Blue Jean Shorts or Jersey's that aren't Nike? I realize Nike sponsors Bama, but seriously, that's just stupid! I'm not a jersey wearing person, so it won't affect me, but those two are just stupid rules if in fact they are going to be included. I don't know how you can license wearables over the years to many different companies and then decide that someone can't wear something just because it's not a current jersey. Again, as for cut-offs; why would you care as long as they aren't falling completely apart and showing parts of your body that shouldn't be shown in public.

As I said, I have no problem with the NO DRUNKS rule because for 99.99% of the people that will not be an issue and for those it is an issue with, well they shouldn't be allowed in anyway. However, I guess what they are really doing is finally enforcing the public intoxication law that's already in force. I normally may drink between 4 and 6 beers if it's a night game and that means I've started drinking them around 10:30 or 11:00 in the morning and I always mix in a few pepsi's or mountain dews and some water along the way. I am never drunk when I walk in that stadium and almost always stop drinking anything alcoholic about an hour or longer before kick off.

I believed it too for a second until the Nike comment. Good luck trying to give breathalysers's to 92,000+ fans. If .08 was the cutoff the crowd would look like something from a Vanderbilt game.

I'm having a really hard time believing that so many took this hoax seriously...

In defense of the ones who are falling for it, we've seen so many unreal situations arise in the last ten years, that pretty much anything is believable...and possible.

But, yeah, the Albatross story on the right should have been a dead giveaway. Was for me.:)
