The running game... or lack thereof

I saw a stat that said Saban was 30-20 in one score games at Alabama. I honestly find that hard to believe (his winning percentages in most stats are usually so good), but it demonstrates that Saban didn't let many teams get close (and almost all his losses were by a single score).
Saban was 33-21 in one score games, all six losses in 2007 were one score games

This film breakdown may just answer the question. Now the question is how do we fix it before December?

Saban spoke on this yesterday I think. He thinks that Alabama needs to switch up their playcalling to give their running game a chance. Run the ball on 2nd down, mix it up. Don't be so predictable.
